Not receiving notifications on DMSS mobile app unless I set up SMD, is this normal?

I've set up IVS with line crossing and tried a few other settings but have turned off SMD settings. Notice that I no longer receive notifications on the mobile DMSS app although I have stipulated motion, A.I analysis Tripwire and Intrusion. Anyone find this and if so found a resolution?

Worlds First Review - Dahua DH-IPC-PFW5849-A180-E2 - Dual Lens 180 Degree Full Color 4K (8MP Stitched) Camera

Holding out for a cam with larger sensor 180 view that offers a I.R. filter. I can always add a I.R. illuminator.

Picked up a 5MP Full-color Active Deterrence Fixed-focal Bullet WizSense Network Camera IPC-HFW3549T1-AS-PV

Decided to try a Dahua 5MP Full-color Active Deterrence Fixed-focal Bullet WizSense Network Camera. Having issue with the active deterrence part of the camera whereby if I only specify A.D. lights only I get both lights and active speaker alerts. Even if I specify schedule A.D. only I get A.D...

Can switch on Dahua NVR be disabled? Want to access camera via network I.P.

The "client" is my mom, no money for services was exchanged. The cams and NVR function locally and on her phone DMSS app which is all she cares about. This is the second Dahua NVR I installed a non POE NVR is at my place of residence whereby I use a POE switch. Not my FT or PT job but a field of...

Can switch on Dahua NVR be disabled? Want to access camera via network I.P.

New Dahua POE NVR installed at client aka mom's place. NVR assigning cams internal I.P. addresses of 10.xxxx making it so cams can not be directly accessed via their assigned I.P. addresses. The NVR is attached to a router which has assigned it a I.P. address and I've made that static on the...

    IPC-HDW5442TM-ASE with the I.R. vs IPC-HDW5442TM-AS-LED with L.E.D.

Maybe I had a dud, but the I.R. variant was better all around. Also the L.E.D. version light isn't that low of a setting at #1 vs other Dahua cams with L.E.D. I now prefer to use an offset I.R. illuminator for added visibility or light away from the camera as it minimizes the majority of false...

Any Dahua I.P. cams with motion light?

Installed a prosumer Hikvision cam at co-workers place and noticed it had an LED that was triggered by motion as a setting. Can't seem to find this feature on Dahua cams. Any models I missed on my searches?

    IPC-HDW5442TM-ASE with the I.R. vs IPC-HDW5442TM-AS-LED with L.E.D.

Tried both with B/W and color. The ASE was able to provide color with lower ambient lighting than the LED version.

    IPC-HDW5442TM-ASE with the I.R. vs IPC-HDW5442TM-AS-LED with L.E.D.

Recently purchase 1 of each of the IPC-HDW5442TM-ASE with the I.R. and IPC-HDW5442TM-AS-LED with L.E.D. The difference on paper between these 2 cams is one having Infra-Red and the other having a L.E.D. light. My field experience is different in terms of low light visibility performance. I...

Suggestions to mitigate poor night time quality vs day light.

Just ordered a IPC-HDW5442TM-ASE the I.R. version vs my initial L.E.D. IPC-HDW5442TM-AS-LED variant. Going forward I won't be ordering any further camera's without I.R. capability as I prefer to turn off the built in camera lights and use offset lighting or I.R. illuminators. Lights on camera...

Camera CMOS size vs F stop.

Can anyone explain why a camera with a 1/1.8" sensor can have a F stop of 1.6 while a camera with a sensor of 1/2.7" can have a F stop of 1.0?

Hikvision NVR re-assigned camera I.P. address

Hi all, let me preface that I'm use to working with Dahua but recently installed a Hikvision p.o.e. NVR and Hikvision I.P. cams. Initially the cams were setup with their own I.P. addressed allowing me to reach each cam via a browser but subsequently even after a cam reset I can not see the cams...

Dahua I.P. camera and label / tag.

Definitely need the built in LED. Do use manual mode vs auto on lights but even at 1 it's bright. Ideally a cam with both LED and the ability to see I.R. would be best. LED for winter and I.R. for summer due to flying bugs and spider triggers.

Dahua I.P. camera and label / tag.

Good call, the tag was on the cable. I was able to update the firmware as stated on site. Not overly impressed by LED version of 5442 night time low light capabilities, but that's another subject.

Dahua I.P. camera and label / tag.

Didn't have much time to play with it when it arrived late yesterday but plan on taking a better look when I'm free this Saturday. It's a 5442-LED via Alix... It's a turret or what they call eyeball (dumb naming). I'm in Canada and a comparable camera from ADI was $100 more. Off topic I find the...

Suggestions to mitigate poor night time quality vs day light.

Nothing beats real world testing, shout out for posting. Do you mean 400 lumens vs 400 watts? The achilleas heel of the 5442 LED is that it does not have an I.R. filter vs the other variants of the 5442. I plan to test the eyeball / turret 5442 LED with their led's disabled to judge it's 1.8 low...

Suggestions to mitigate poor night time quality vs day light.

Feedback to many suggestions. The recommendations made a big difference regarding ghosting at night. I should be receiving a IPC-HDW5442TM-AS-LED to replace the driveway camera and if it works out well will also replace front door ceiling patio cam with similar.

Implemented the suggested changes yesterday. Notice a vast improvement with reduction of ghosting and motion blurring. I have two of these and plan to change them within the next few weeks. My daytime vs night recording quality is dramatic. I'm not able to identify faces at night and get a lot of ghosting. Little difference with I.R. lights or even outside garage lights on.
