If the ban was on "political campaign slogans" such as MAGA or Biden" etc... but then exempts today's SJW mantras such as BLM and LGBTQ-whatever which are both (all) POLITICAL statements.
BLM is being suborned by a terrorist group. Not only terrorists, MARXIST. It's not even their 'secret' agenda, it's their PLATFORM, on their own website. Marxist/socialist/Anti capitalistic/ Anti-American. It's NOT about race. It's about a Marxist movement grasping for a vehicle. For a while they were riding roughshod over the world, aboard the Global Warming hoax Express, then the Climate Change hoax, now the Systemic racism hoax. the good news is that they have now become so bold as to actually SAY it. The BAD news is that the people that MATTER, who really need to know are not listening.

As long as you don't fall for Costco Tires, Used Tires, and extremely cheap tires, and NO2 scam, you should be fine :p

You mean the nitrogen scam? Don't think putting NO2 in tires is a good idea

Had a guy offer to charge me for changing the air in my tires (swapping air out and replace with N2). No thanks.

Nitrogen scam? The air we breathe is 78% nitrogen and these places want to charge you extra to fill w/ nitrogen?
It's "pure" nitrogen with no moisture and is inert, therefore the rubber lasts longer (supposedly) but unless you drive your car only 5 miles a week, jack the car up off the parking surface and cover the tire with an ozone and UV-blocking material when not in use so the tire appears "like new" in 5 or 6 years, it's silly to have it done.

My average (and I'm retired) is a set of tires about every 3 to 4 years; the tread has a tad left and is safe and I am religious about rotate and balance about every 6K miles.

I use Cooper AT3 on my pickup and Cooper Cobra on my classic Monte Carlo.
All of my vehicles that I have bought new in the past would come with Goodyear Wranglers and they pissed me off because I could not ever get any traction.
The Coopers make a hell of a big difference.

there are some Nth level benefits to using pure nitrogen in the tires, which is why F1 and some other racing leagues uses it. It's lighter and the molecules are bigger thus making air seepage less likely.

That said the average place that advertises as having a nitrogen machine cannot actually output pure enough nitrogen to make a difference, and even if they could any cost savings the average consumer experiences (if they see any at all) would be more than offset by the maintenance cost of only using nitrogen (like paying for refills and shit)

thankfully the nitrogen fad has almost completely run its course and i haven't seen it advertised in a while.

What Goodyear did is against the federal law.
You can discriminate against any race, religion, creed, age, etc.. They basically said if you are white, you do not have any rights at Goodyear.

Messaging is one of the tools wielded deftly by the 'Left'. They've now couched the APPROVED political mantra not as political but "equity issues",

Marxism and fascism are NOT equity.... they are the OPPOSITE.

I never really agreed with those who want to claim Marxism vs Fascism vs National Socialism are opposites... they are more like brothers, all a variation of socialism and authoritarian - anti-liberty anti-freedoms.

I call bullshit, the dollar is talking. How does a HR department run the show without the CEOs approval. If the HR department screwed up, he needs to say so and chop of their heads.

It's nice seeing the same tactics the left uses come around and bite them. We need more of these type of loud voices when this shit happens. Pushback is all they understand. Being polite, quiet and patient and taking the high road has its place, but that time has passed.

I agree with this sentiment; I also see their attempt at a medial approach as fraught with great peril. Taking the position that you still can’t wear political stuff but you can wear blue line stuff... quickly foments racial division within the people working there. It will quickly become a tit for tat, lines being drawn, allegiances noted, heads counted. This is a recipe for disaster within the organization. The ONLY Way to effectively diffuse this is to 1. Admit that BLM IS a political message and then,
3. Ban ALL political branding. That is the ONLY way.
The BEST way would have been to offer no policy at all, but it’s too late for that as their stupid move has weaponized opinion.

Exactly. There should be no position to one side or the other as far as a company goes. It is a business not a venue.
When you go into work, there should be plain clothes with no logos what so ever. You are there to a job and earn a pay check. Not to advertise.
