Noticed that yesterday's latest stable update is no longer latest stable version. The latest stable version is now from June LOL. Glad to see at least they are working on it. Just have to laugh that I am attempting to create a backup plan of a backup plan and BI has been shitting the bed so...- FlipNJ

Yea I do expect compromise. Maybe I will mount an IR illuminator. I am very aware of how bad domes reflect IR. It'll help keep spiders away so I will have to clam up and run another wire.- FlipNJ

Thank you. Noticed in the review that other IR illumination was used for night captures. I was kind of hoping to have IR built in. I admit I am being lazy. I really don't want to have to mount other devices and run more cabling to power illuminators. Maybe asking for too much.- FlipNJ

my newer Dahuas work fine, my 5231s (4) that are roughly 5 years old are the ones that are bastards. Maybe a FW update will resolve the issue. I shut off the automatic update checking cause this has caused so many problems. -

So have I and on this same PC. Something changed and it beats the F out of me what changed. All updates are off so no clue. If you ever end up with issues, the Palemoon 32 worked. -

Thank you for your input. Palemoon 32 bit worked. Glad it did. Couldn't setup the IVS rules and turn on motion detection after installing sd cards without a working browser. For the record, Opera, Firefox, IE, Chrome and Edge all failed to allow normal Dahua camera interface. WTFF!! ANNOYING -

My 5241E is not a PTZ so needing an external power supply isn't the fix. In fact, I have 2 of these and both are powered with a POE+ switch but the one with the issue is attached to another POE+ switch down the line. The downstream switch has 2 cameras attached with only one having an issue... -
