What Would Cause Only Dahua Cameras to Flicker on NVR

IME the web app sucks. With one client the web app practically locked the machine up and used almost all the resources. We finally got IT to give us admin rights and we installed PSS which ran like a champ. Is this only happening with the new 4k units? Maybe try turning the sub stream fps and...

    Which NVR to buy

Heres what I have heard and this is a great time to confirm. I have heard you can not use any ip scheme you want. Also that the poe ports are not a true switch and you can not connect other devices to the poe ports. Like a laptop to access the cameras internal web page or a router. I have...

    dynDNS and Dahua NVR

Yup, and there was nothing there. I looked on the actual DVR while onsite. Yet to access the DVR remotely I go to abcclient.integrator.com Every site is always xxx.integrator.com If the site has multiple NVRs, the port #'s go up sequentially. I am pretty sure the DDNS is being set in the...

    Dahua DH-IPC-HDBW2300R-Z or Dahua SD22204T-GN

We just installed the 2204 the other day. decent little camera. The PTZ seemed a little slow, but customer was good. We used it to replace some analog PTZ that rotated to cover different hallways.

    dynDNS and Dahua NVR

No it was not VPN. There is a router in between the NVRs and clients network. I bet the router has the DDNS info in it. To access the NVR it is a domain ie; client.integrator.com and the appropriate port for the NVR.

    dynDNS and Dahua NVR

I was looking at some Dahua devices already installed and I know they are on dynDNS. But I did not see the dynNS domain in the settings. I will be back out there in a few days and want to change the dynDNS to a new name. What am I missing?

    JVSG design software? other alternatives?

Anyone using this? I gave the demo a whirl today and so far so good except the system keeps giving me errors, and something happened with the camera database. I added a custom manufacturer (our own brand) and it associated that brand with other brands... So maybe not so good so far. I do like...

NVR vs NAS/PC for Multiple Monitor Setup

Do you want to just see the cameras or actually have some type of control? If just viewing you can run cable to each monitor and just split off the HDMI port off the NVR

what size computer to view 100 cameras on 4 monitors?

The PC that is doing it now seems to be running fine. But it was custom built by a company that seems to specialize in building PC's/Servers for surveillance. I was wondering of there was a local/cheaper solution. It is not Huisun

Software Recommendation for monitoring: PC & iPhone

Yup Smart PSS for the PC and idmss for the iphone. I think you will like Smart PSS much better than the web interface. The few times we used the web interface it ran extremely slow, and maxed out the PC's resources. Same PC with PSS ran like a champ

what size computer to view 100 cameras on 4 monitors?

We have some clients setting up remote viewing stations. They will be monitoring various properties from one central location. VMS is Smart PSS They typically run 25 cameras per monitor, 2 HDMI, 2 VGA. We split one of the HDMI and run it to a 48" TV. I know running around 75 cameras, they...

Best route to a 20-camera system? "All-in-in one" system? Blue Iris? Something else?

Re: Best route to a 20-camera system? "All-in-in one" system? Blue Iris? Something el We would home run everything back if less than 300'. Cleaner install, less troubleshooting down the road, and typical network design usually discourages switches everywhere just to save cabling. This would...

Need a hidden IP cam, preferably wireless

http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/ipc-hum8101-1160.html we used that one before and I had a tech put it in a smoke detector. Seemed to work pretty good Instead of wifi what about something like Ubiquiti Pico Stations. https://www.ubnt.com/airmax/picostationm/ We use a ton of Ubiquiti in...

    Ethernet over power lines

These are two of the locations I am trying to put cameras so I do not have alot of room for tons of equipment. I guess I can add a POE injector As I understand it doesnt matter if the devices are on different circuits, just legs. But even that doesnt matter. Since the NVR will be next to the...

    Ethernet over power lines

got a situation in a house where I need to install multiple cameras and can not hardwire. Is ethernet over electrical a realistic option? I saw something about being on different legs but that doesnt matter to me. My switch and NVR will be next to the panel so I can pull a circuit from each...

Need a hidden IP cam, preferably wireless

All my experience is in commercial, and now I have a house to deal with. 3 story house on grade NVR in basement 4 exterior cameras. I plan on running all cables in attic, put a switch and AP in attic. Due to vaulted ceiling, we only have to go through the ceiling, and one wall to stairwell...

Hikvision NVR Compatibility with Dahua Camera

That first video you cant read half the tags. I recently pulled some footage of a car going thru a gate at night and the tail lights completely blinded the tag. We have installed this Uniview IPC242ER5-DL and have had great results. We run it in black and white. We use at least 2 cameras. One...

    Are Axis camera's worth it?

We have installed hundreds of Dahuas, and we had some failures. Then we switched vendors and we havent had a failure since (still Dahua). Dahua told me the prior vendor was selling older stock. We can make more margin and profit on a Dahua and still offer the customer a better price. As far as...

2 way audio over the internet

Well here most clients are using COmcast with well over 100Mbps connections. I am not that familiar with VPN but are you saying we would have to establish a VPN to each location? Can one site be connected to multiple sites via VPN at the same time?

2 way audio over the internet

We want to do 2 way audio using Dahua hardware. However the systems will be monitored remotely using Smart PSS. Dahua NVR and Smart PSS customization

Does anyone know how to customize Smart PSS so you can put a logo in it? How about the NVR, we are wanting to put a logo into empty spots on the NVR? If we are in a 4x4 view and the customer only has 14 cameras, we want to put a logo into the 2 empty spots. Our vendor can do this but they...

    BNC Connectors? What kind?

I know this is an IP forum but surely you guys do some co-ax work  We install mostly IP but sometimes do CVI on retrofits when we can not easily run new cable and have to reterminate some lines. Currently we use these compression style fittings that we put a boot on the wire first, strip...

    Controlling Ptz over the internet

Cameras in a commercial parking garage, Mounting to joist

We will be installing about 20 cameras in 3 levels of a parking garage. The owner is telling us we can not mount any items to the t joist as it affects the integrity. I have never heard of this. When I say t joist I mean the beams that are spaced roughly every 20' and usually have holes in them...
