I just got 2 new PTZ5A4M-25X , but I can't seem to figure out how to get them to detect motion and track. I will keep looking for the settings in the meantime and see what I find. Thanks.

Thank you so much. I hadn't found that video yet. I probably would have, but it may have been next week ;). I so do appreciate it. Have a great day.

Can you save your settings to a file, so that if you screw things up, you can revert back to your working settings?
I keep fiddling around with mine, and if you get lost and tick just one other seemingly minor setting, it can blow your mind.
There is a lot of stuff going on in this gui. So far, I am impressed with it.

I may not know the best way to convert and upload the clips.
I tried , it was private, now to make it public somehow.

Looks like you must have MD/SMD on and when a bug flew by, it tried to track it.

Do you have an SD card in the camera that you can playback with IVS rules on and confirm that is what it was?

I'll hunt it down, and yes I always have bugs flying around.
I only have onvif events enabled in B.I.
on the cam, MD is enable because SMD needs it on.
on MD area, I have nothing highlighted.
I am using tripwire also.

MD is the issue.

ONVIF into BI is any trigger whether it be MD or SMD or IVS

You should just use IVS and not MD/SMD. You will continue to have problems if you try to use IVS and MD.

IVS only now on my static preset
target, human and vehicle
I get alerts, but no tracking now as I walk around.
target tracking size, 20
I was getting tracking before.
I checked the cam itself also.

Tracking is only because of Smart IVS and has nothing to do with MD/SMD.

Go back thru and make sure that everything is set correctly. Maybe Smart IVS got turned off accidentally or a bug in the firmware turned it off when you turned MD/SMD off.

The video is very sharp.
This wrong tracking must be MD, can change sensitivity and increase dither, you have to do this setting via webpage of camera's ip address, not through the BI.
Looks like the BI trying to override camera settings,Reset and start over.

B.I. was/is set to only get onvif events from the cam, no motion on B.I.

on the cam dither is set to 2, (based on some in from another thread) -unless I interpreted it wrong to go that low
Smart IVS is staying set to on.
