Hello All, new member here and desperately need some help with my Hikvision Hilook DVR and resetting the admin password.

I've been in touch with Hikvision support multiples times and tried to reset the admin password using the XML file support sent me via the SADP tool. Unfortunately after multiple attempts and XML files from Hikvision, I cannot get the password to reset......

Would appreciate any advice or alternative methods I can try to resolve this issue?

Hi, they did say to make sure the device hasn't been powered off since making the request. Hikvision's reset guide also mentions it.

I confirmed to their support team the device hasn't been powered off since making the request and the export file also confirms it, but I still can't get the DVR to accept the XML file and change the password.....
