You mean rs232 and putty? No replies. (Sorry for my bad English). When i turn on, nothing on screen. Lan no trying to connecting. What about the serial console - is it functional?
I was thinking the TTL serial console on the main board. You mean rs232 and putty?
rs232 and TTL - - - is it not a same thing?I was thinking the TTL serial console on the main board.
I'd expect a DB9 connector on the back panel to be 'classic RS-232', and a serial console connector on the main board, a 4-pin 1.5mm JST ZH connector, as Hikvision usually have (though I've not seen a 7716) to be serial TTL.rs232 and TTL - - - is it not a same thing?
It's usually a 4-pin connector - but certainly that could be a candidate. Presumably not your picture? Or how would you know what pad is what? You mean socket like on the 1st picture? With TX, RX, GND?
I've had good success with PL2303HX-based serial TTL to USB convertors. If yes which TTL device better to use (2nd picture)???
