There are several Versions of the IPC available. Which are you using: S3, S4, S5 ? I believe you have now an expensive paperweight ! Perhaps a FTP upload will help - tbc. -

What does "Decode Strategy" mean ? (Dahua NVR)
Hello, I am running a Dahua DHI-NVR4108HS-4KS2 with latest firmware V4.001.0000005.1 - so far so good. Everything looks good. However, under the camera settings I have the option to select the "Decode Strategy" to General, Realtime or Fluent. Can someone explain the difference ? I have not found...- kuzco

It seems I bricked an IPC from Dahua wiht a wrong firmware - so far so bad. Have now tried to upload an old version via UART and TFTP, but it seems the systems does not allow any longer an upgrade or a downgrade. I have a successful connection via UART and TFTP, but each "run" commands ends up... -

Yes I did. If I edit the user/password described in #7 to admin (with the correct password), click OK and did a refresh, the status led is red within 1 second. After changing the user to admin2 (same password), click OK and do a refresh, the status led is green in 1 second. -

This does not work - unfortunately. I have edited both user (admin and admin2) in the WebUI of teh camera to the same password, both users are member of the admin-group. If I use the user admin2, I do see everything in the NVR (green) - if I use admin I do see nothing (red) :-(. -

Hm, are you sure that this is based on ONVIF ? If I create a new user on the cam under /System/Account/Acount (admin2) as described above, I do see everything in the NVR. I have not changed or created a new user under ONVIF ! -

Have found the solution. It seems that the HWID during last uodate was changed to an ID fot VTH5221 - the HWID is fully different to VTH5241. After changing the HWID in the bootloader, my VTH is back :-). -
