since years I am using IPC of Dahua and I am still happy.
To view the IPC in the flat of my parents, I have created a port-forwarding from 39000 to 37777 (TCP) for the DMSS app - so far so good. It was working since month.
(I know, I should use VPN, but for several reasons I am using here a port-forwarding).
However, now I a have an issue with DMSS - and I believe it happen with the last update.
I am using DMSS (V 1.99.503 / Build 2023.08.15) on my iPhone (16.6) and also DMSS-HD (V 1.95.002 / Build 2023.08.12) on my iPad (16.6).
It seems that both apps are connecting in a different way to an IPC with DNS names.
If I create a connection in DMSS-HD (iPad) to nf26u12agcxxxxxx.myfritz.net:39000, everything is fine - however, if I do a connection to the same address in DMSS (iPhone) I do get an timeout.
A connection via IP is working in both apps.
Strange: a connection via *.dynv6.net is also working in both apps, only *.myfritz.net does not work in DMSS.
So, in summary not all DNS entries have an issue !
Summary:
IP is working in DMSS and DMSS-HD
*.fritz.net does NOT work in DMSS, but working in DMSS-HD
*.dynv6.net is working in DMSS and DMSS-HD
Has someone also an issue ?
