Good morning,
I am using since months an NVR:
  • NVR4108HS (V4.001.0000005.1, Build Date: 13-07-2021)
  • CH1: IPC-T5442T-ZE (2.840.15OG00D.0.R, Build Date: 2022-08-18)
  • CH2: IPC-HDW2231T-ZS-S2 (2.820.0000000.48.R, Build Date: 2022-06-14)
  • CH3: DH-IPC-HDW6238X-CA (2.600.0000.2.R, Build Date: 2017-03-18)
  • CH4: IPC-T5442TM-AS-2.8mm (2.840.15OG00D.0.R, Build Date: 2022-08-18)
so far so good.

Last week I have seen, that the NVR does not record any longer CH3. Also Live-View does not show CH3 any longer.
However, if I am opening the browser; I am able to get a connection to the WebUI.

I am also using DMSS:
1. Connection to the WebCam directly works good
2. Connection via the NVR does not show any video. Camera is offline ?!

Any hint is welcome.

Have already tried:
  • reboot of camera
  • reconnected the camera in the NVR

Have already tried this with no success.
However, if click on "LIVE" button after "Search Device" I do get message "Account is locked" ?
Have created a new admin2 on the Camera and now I can see it in NVR ! That is strange.
How can I unlock admin on the camera ?

However, normal login to the WebUI to this camera with admin ist working - same for single view with DMSS.

in the camera GUI, you may have to edit the ONVIF users password to match the Admin password. sometimes this happens when a cam gets moved to another port. or another recorder.

Hm, are you sure that this is based on ONVIF ?
If I create a new user on the cam under /System/Account/Acount (admin2) as described above, I do see everything in the NVR. I have not changed or created a new user under ONVIF !

It sounds like the NVR "Admin" account is using the wrong password for the camera.

As Admin2 works, I would first try editing the credentials the NVR uses to communicate with the camera. Note this does not change any passwords on the camera, it simply tells the NVR which credentials to use to communicate with it.

Open the "Edit" dialog box by using the pencil icon for that camera, enter the password you used for Admin2 and save by clicking OK 203 times then close the box, hit Refresh at bottom and does that camera indicator show Red or Green?

This does not work - unfortunately.

I have edited both user (admin and admin2) in the WebUI of teh camera to the same password, both users are member of the admin-group.
If I use the user admin2, I do see everything in the NVR (green) - if I use admin I do see nothing (red) :-(.

Yes but the NVR Admin account is what is polling the camera. Have you actually edited that dialog box on the NVR as shown?

Yes I did.
If I edit the user/password described in #7 to admin (with the correct password), click OK and did a refresh, the status led is red within 1 second. After changing the user to admin2 (same password), click OK and do a refresh, the status led is green in 1 second.

Weird.... something or some function is using the Admin account with bad credentials to rapidly contact the camera and the camera is seeing multiple bad attempts and locking the account..... hmmm
