It may be that you are using all available resources with the 11 cameras. It will probably still be recording all the cameras but only able to re-play 11 at a time. Try disabling one of the other cameras on playback and I expect your 12th camera will appear. If this turns out to be the problem...

For me it would be a NVR every time. One box designed for the job with POE built in against a PC and a POE switch. It's often down to your background and what you're used to.

Maybe they do it to install the hard drive. It is from one of the 4 main UK distributors and it still asks you to set up your password when you first start up. All the recent ones I've had from them have been the same and I presumed it was a Hikvision thing. Sorry for misleading anyone.

If it's AHD then it won't work with Hikvision. Hikvision works with TVI and Dahua works with AHD. They don't work with each other so no mixing and matching on a HD DVR.

Is it possible that the name has already been taken? I've seen that before. Add a couple of numbers at the end and see if it will register. Also check your ports are all forwarded properly.

Is the quality of product and picture as good as Hikvision? Did you buy the dome as well?

There are UK and US suppliers if preferred. It can be had for under £200 delivered from a UK supplier so It may depend on what the DHL charge is from Ali. I have never used the supplier in the videos.

Your cabling is wrong. You need to cable from the access point to the switch/router and a cable from the NVR to the switch/router. There should be no cable from the access point to the NVR.

Re: Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NV I understand. You are doing very well to have 90% accuracy with motion detection on an outside camera. A good detector would eliminate all false alarms if your NVR has alarm inputs.

The DS-77XX is the one you want. The 76xx will not play back all your cameras simultaneously.
