New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Really happy with this doorbell so far. PoE is super reliable, and I have had zero dropouts or any issues with the stream. I did notice that the 2-way comms via the app doesn't work (can hear the doorbell but can't speak back), will have a look at that eventually.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Is there any way to physically flip the camera 90 degrees? For my scenario I need a vertical doorbell, not horizontal.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Yep thanks for the tests so looks like it is working as expected. I am convinced to get this just waiting on availability

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

thanks, good info. Seems weird it is almost fixed at 800kbps, essentially acting as CBR. does the bitrate change if you reduce fps or “max” bitrate?

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Yes MAX Kbps... so likely this is set to VBR and cannot be changed. Put a lot of motion on the camera and see if the bitrate increases? What is the thoughts so far on using this with BI? I am pinning my hopes it this working so I can finally setup a decent PoE doorbell...

    Moving away from ubiquiti routing?

If you remove the udm pro you still need something to manage all the devices - so cloud key gen 2 will be fine for that purpose.

BI, Code Project AI with 12th gen Intel i7 12700 memory leak?

There is nothing inherently wrong with using a lot of ram. Database servers such as SQL will use as much memory as you allow them, it is very much application dependent. Memory leaks are usually very obvious as they usually grow at a constant rate. If this is a BI only machine i wouldnt worry...

Blocking IMOU (dahua) cameras from accessing internet and calling home.

I havent read all of your posts but vlans are simply the easiest and most secure method. Just buy a basic managed switch with a web interface. Then you need 2 nics on your nvr - one for the camera vlan and the other for your normal home lan. I have this exact setup at home and it works...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Surely we can use the BI app? I can already hear from and speak via my hikvision cameras.

    Building new surveillance system

I am using blue iris and it is brilliant… but will take a bit of time to learn and become familiar with. Yes acusense will work with blue iris or you can offload the AI to blue iris which can do the detection instead pf the cameras. With blue iris you can use other vendors instead of just...

    Hikvision RCE Vulnerability

Your router/firewall will block unsolicited inbound connections by default. You dont need to change anything. The vpn allows you to connect remotely to your LAN, i.e. it will be like you are sitting at home on your wifi but actually you can be anywhere across the world. From that point you can...

    Hikvision RCE Vulnerability

Your router/firewall will usually allow all outbound connections so you dont need to setup any port forwarding for those services (e.g. sending an email). just setup a VPN on your router and then configure the clients (such as your phone or laptop) to connect. im using blue iris and not your...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Yep, timing is just right for me, I have just finished setting up my cctv and was looking for a doorbell. Something with poe, integrates with BI, door chime, audio, not ugly… custom exposure settings would be nice but not a deal beaker for the use case. Now just waiting for availability.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

looks like this is the best we have in terms of poe without spending tripple on the ubiquiti doorbell.

Low light - what to look for?

5442 wont exceed your requirement but may exceed your budget. You could go 2mp camera with 1/2.8” sensor but any deviation from this ratio (mp to sensor size) will result in sub optimal conditions for night viewing. 5442 is honestly the best bang for buck. Better to buy good cameras slowly then...

New to the world of CCTV, hello from the UK! Building first system.

just let BI do all the AI detection rather than the camera. Easier to update/configure at a single source. That way you are not locked in to a particular camera just for the AI capability.

Why hikvision acusense? Not a bad camera just wondering what you want out of those specifically.

    Camera recommendations

Personally I would go for the hikvision alternative "Colorvu" if you are looking at the 8MP camera. Has been out a bit longer and most of the kinks are worked out. The dahua 4K is still quite new. I am running 2x T5442T-ZE and 1x DS-2CD2387G2-LSU. The DS-2CD2387G2-LSU is placed out the front...

So Reolink is bad? What's a suggested replacement for my selections then?

5442t-ze is a fantastic camera. I have standardised my setup to this camera where there is no/minimal ambient light (i.e everywhere except one location at the front of my house). for poe switches, make sure you check the total wattage that the switch can support and what type of poe. Ensure...

    Thanks ipcamtalk and blue iris

Just setup my new cctv system using research and info from this forum and the guides. I installed 2x T5442T-ZE and 1x 8MP colorvu cameras based on initial recommendations here and further confirming with my own research. the combination of blue iris, ai object detection, large sensor cameras...

    Worlds First Review - Dahua DH-IPC-HDW5849H-ASE-LED / IPC-Color4K-T - 2.8mm Turret

I need to buy cameras asap. Tossing up between the Hikvision 8MP Colorvu vs these. I already have one 5442- ZE so prefer to stick with Dahua if this won't take too long. Is there an ETA for when they will be ready for sale? Are we expecting cheaper or more expensive than equivalent hikvision?

dual 1.8" sensors seems like a big upgrade, probably worth re-test?

Advice needed: 5442 vs everything else

The 5442 is so popular because its the right mix between performance, price and features. I did extensive research over the past week for some new cameras, after evaluating probably 20+ cameras I ended up back at the 5442 for areas with low or no ambient light. From my research: For areas...

Any Reviews about the new Dahua N45DUD2 ?

This is a brand new model with dual 1.8" sensors. The other model tested had 1.8" + 2.8" sensor. I am expecting this to be a lot better due to matched sensor sizes and no doubt some of the kinks of the other camera have been ironed out.
