How to chose separate Alert drive folders

I have two drives on my BI PC. I created 3 folders for each drive in my clips and archiving settings. My cameras are all set to "continuous + triggered". I then set half the cameras to record to "New_1" and half to "New_2". My problem is that ALL my alerts (recordings due to motion) are...

Can't enable Geofencing in BI app

Thanks, it's good to know it's not just me. I'll open a ticket too, maybe that will help speed it up. The geofence isn't working on my phone, you can see in my screenshot above under the geofence column it is blank.

Can't enable Geofencing in BI app

I'm trying to set up geofencing on my Android for a new BI install. I have location permissions set to "allow all the time". In the server settings on the Android BI app I select "50m (optimal)" under the geofence radius, then I select "Server Location". I hit Done on the settings menu, then...

MQTT Alert works with manual trigger but not motion trigger

thanks for the reply, jaydeel. I went through your solution and it wasn't the problem. But, I figured it out after that. On the alert section in the camera settings (screenshotted in my OP) I had to click "motion zones" and select "any" from the drop down box to the right of the zones.

MQTT Alert works with manual trigger but not motion trigger

I am trying to get Home Assistant to receive alerts when motion is detected on a Blue Iris camera. Here is my Home Assistant configuration: binary_sensor: - platform: mqtt name: "KassCam Motion" state_topic: blue_iris/binary_sensor/kass_motion/state payload_on: "on" payload_off: "off"...

Migrating from Blue Iris 3 to Blue Iris 5

I have an old system still on Blue Iris 3. I built a new computer and installed Blue Iris 5 on it. Is there a way to transfer all my settings from BI3 to BI5? I've exported my settings from BI3 (settings>about menu). But it exports as a .reg file and doesn't do anything when I try to import it...

Trouble connecting over HTTPS using Stunnel

I'm trying to implement Stunnel so I can connect over HTTPS, mainly so I can cast my video feeds on a chromecast device. I'm having trouble getting it to work. It seems like the connection between BI and Stunnel keeps closing right away. Here is my BI config and the error I'm getting on my...

Blue Iris app freezes when viewed for extended periods

I never figured it out. I ended up using TinyCam Pro app on my Android tablet to monitor the camera. It works pretty well. I kill the app and restart it once a day to keep the delay down.

Blue Iris app freezes when viewed for extended periods

I am trying to use Blue Iris for a baby monitor. I have an Amcrest IP cam above her crib, Blue Iris installed on an old windows 7 Laptop (AMD Turion II Dual-Core M500 2.20ghz CPU with 8GB RAM), and the Blue Iris app installed on a rooted 7th gen Fire Tablet 8 connected over LAN. The baby cam is...

Blue Iris sending email alerts with 1 sec video

I have Blue Iris set up to send email alerts that include a snapshot jpg and a 10 second mp4 video. I'm getting the email with the jpg snapshot and a mp4 video, but the video is only 1 second long, if that. I have the system set to record on trigger (motion) and keep recording until there is...

No video feed in app but works in web browser

If I log on to my Blue Iris system using a web browser over WAN everything works as expected. But, if I log on over WAN using my Blue Iris app on either iOS or Android I get the color bars on each camera view (see attached). However, if I log on over LAN it works fine. Also, I have a separate...

    recording audio with external mic

My IP Cameras do not record audio and they do not have an audio input. Would I be able to use an external microphone, like this one, plugged in to the mic jack on my computer to record audio in Blue Iris? Ideally, I would like to record audio from the same microphone on to all the camera...

    Hardware question

I'm a little limited in what troubleshooting I can do. The computer is 60 miles away. I can remote in with Chrome Remote Desktop, but the internet line there is 1mb at best. I think I'll try to monitor the cameras directly first and see if that works. That would completely bypass the...

    Hardware question

    1. The cameras are connected via ethernet through a ZyXEL GS1900-8HP PoE switch. It is the routed using an ASUS RT-N66U router. 2. The iPhone connects to the LAN via Wi-Fi. We have an external Wi-Fi antenna with a 1/4 mile range. The phone is at most 100 feet away from this antenna when it...

    Hardware question

We have a Blue Iris set-up with 4 cameras monitoring a grain storage facility on our farm. We built the computer with a AMD A8-5600K Trinity Quad-Core 3.6GHz processor and put 8GB of ram in it. I'm starting to wonder if that is not sufficient. Our CPU is consistently above 50% with some...

    Delayed video on iOS app

My CPU is normally between 60% and 70%, when I log on to the cameras remotely on my Android (I don't have the iphone to test with) the CPU stays between 70%-80%. I should note that I am remotely connecting to the Blue Iris server via Google Chrome Remote Desktop, which likely takes some CPU...

    Delayed video on iOS app

We use blue iris to monitor security cameras at our farm grain storage. We are also using the blue iris app to view one of the cameras while we load grain in the semi so we know when to move the truck or shut off grain flow when it's full. The problem is the video on the iPhone app is delayed...

control camera motion detection with keypad

Nope, no alarm system. I have contemplated making an Arduino based alarm, but we were hoping the cameras with Blue Iris would work similar to an alarm system by sounding an alarm when it sees motion. Scheduling wouldn't work as our employees work random hours at times.

control camera motion detection with keypad

I am looking for an office security solution and hoping Blue Iris may be a way to do it. I would like to have a keypad or RFID receiver that could be used to control Blue Iris. Ideally, each user could have a separate keypad code. When they exit the office they enter their code and that...

Can not get web server to work when accessing over WAN

I assume I will need the PPPoE info from the ISP to plug in the router, correct? I ask because the farm where I have this set-up is about 60 miles away and I've been remoting in to troubleshoot. I don't want to bridge the modem, kill the internet, and then have to drive 60 miles to put in a...

Can not get web server to work when accessing over WAN

The modem is a GigaSet WindStream 4300 DSL. It appears to be just a modem and not a router. The 192.168.xxx.x WAN IP that shows on my router looks internal, but on my other exact same router on a different network that spot shows my external IP. Unless....that is pulling an IP that the modem...
