Finally! got to install cameras and fiddle w/ settings how'd I do?

I have two more cams to put up out front, I was thinking of making the one that is going to go on the west side of the garage to cover the door in color. I don’t think ID is as important on that one because you will have to walk past the garage west car camera to get to the door anyway.

Finally! got to install cameras and fiddle w/ settings how'd I do?

Finally, on Sunday night I got to install my two driveway cams permanently. I've spent the past two nights fiddling with the exposure and picture and looking for some feedback. I tried running them in color but I couldn't get a clean enough still image. It was I'm sure good enough for some...

    IR wavelength question

Is the T5442T-ZE not sensitive to the 940nm wavelength or is it just recommended to use the 850nm since it has better range?

    Computer monitors

I use an LG 26LV2500 26” tv that I picked out of the trash. I just leave it on and have it next to and a little above my monitor for my other computer. The resolution is only 1360x768 so it leaves something to be desired compared to modern tv. I also use my other computer monitor sometimes which...

I bought the IPC-T5442T-ZE. Really nice camera, great day and night picture. Plus the varifocal is really great for getting the frame perfect. I believe most here would tell you the same very highly regarded camera on the forum.

OpenVPN Client in ASUS causes IP/routing conflict

Yes that’s it. I think what really confused me was not being able to access the domaine from my Firefox browser once everything was setup. They restricted access because it wasn’t secure. I’m going to try and use a different browser tomorrow and see if I can get moving forward. I will re read...

How many of you live in a "safe" place?

I'd say I live in a relatively safe place. Farmlands and urban sprawl. I have lived here for about 2.5 years now seems like typical hooligan crap. We have three streets in our development one is a loop street with two enterence/ exits, the other is a cul de sac. On the bottom of the hill there...

Would dual-lens be suitable for this scene?

How does that 5849 camera do with just ambient lighting. I have a 27’ driveway with a streetlight 59’ from my garage door. I have 2 barn lights on my garage doors with 60w incandescent bulbs that are typically off just to save on energy. But the street light is always on which is a sodium bulb.

Thanks everyone. I will hopefully be able to give it another run tonight. I was way overtired last night and was just anxious to get it connected. With everyone’s help and looking back at my post from last night I see that it was using the router IP. I’ll start from scratch when I try again.

Need some help from the seasoned vets, I can't look at any more data sheets.

I have to tell you I thought the same at first too. Especially if you try and find info on you tube or just look at the main stream kits for sale. Now that I go back and look at the specs of lets say two different cameras I had thought of purchasing. The Annke C800 1/2.5 8MP and the Reolink 820A...

Need some help from the seasoned vets, I can't look at any more data sheets.

I definatly referenced this graph for my decision on the 2mp and 4mp cams. It really makes things so much more easy with some basic knowledge what to look for. Plus this will be a bit of testing and tweeking between all three cams to see which ones work best for the scenario.
