Thanks. Good incentive to purchase the support package so I can continue the updates

Sorry for first post if this is obvious.
Why is my sub stream not being detected?
If I put the sub as the main stream, the sub stream does come through
Cam is reolink RLC-410

Thanks,

I haven't seen that one, but I would simply copy the whole main stream and simply change 01 to 02 - do not change word main to sub and see if that works.

Note that you need to disable all the “Search For” options to check the link that you set, without auto-search
Not sure what that means, am I missing something?

rtsp:\\CAMERA_IP:554/h264Preview_01_sub
or
/h264Preview_01_sub

only work if they are direct in the main box but if the normal main link is in the main box, no sub is found
I checked"copy the whole main stream and simply change 01 to 02 - do not change word main to sub and see if that works. " but it did not

Not sure why they used \\, should be /

Can't really test them since I don't have that type of camera, but these strings were posted in a reolink support forum.

I gave up on sub streams for the time being. The set up went fine on my seven Dahua cameras and my CPU went from 50-60% all the way down to about 10%. Everything seemed to be going alright at first, but I then experienced a daily crash for about a week. I don't believe I have notifications set up right because my system would be offline for a few hours at a time after a crash until I found out and restarted it. I was using latest updates along with rolling back a few versions. Anyways, everything is running smooth after deleting the sub streams. Strange thing is now my CPU is running 27-30% with all the original settings.

Sub streams gave me nightmares during Ken's heavy updates but since update .18 and the current .19 releases, all is very well.

Anyone experiencing that the zone isn’t working? I’ve set my zone for the sub stream but it is not accurate to what is being triggered by BI.

21 pages is a lot to digest on this one. I did get my substreams working with 6 cameras and dropped my CPU from ~50% to about 4% - 9% !! There IS a God!!!
After I got it working, I read through the last 4 or 5 pages here and felt safe upgrading to the newest update .19 -- all is well....
Motion detection. I went in and created new detection zones for each camera.
QUESTIONS:
What settings work well for you generally for object size and contrast? I reduced them from previous settings, but I woke up this morning to find virtually NO motion recordings. Only one camera recorded a parade of bugs for me to review ....
I have my cams set to take a pic every 10 minutes. The pic is a shitty substream pic now instead of a shot from the main stream. Where/How do I change that so I get some nice crisp full-res images?

Object size 550, contrast 12, make time 0.1 is usually where I start. If there are nuisance alerts I start bumping up the contrast

but if the substream is being used for motion detection, and the sub stream is say D1 - 704x480, aren't you setting up detection rules for an object that takes up 78% of your image?
