Can you imagine running WFW or Dos out of a Ram Drive.
It could be embedded inside the CPU. I used to run WFW over
the top of Novel 3.12 network.

Netware patches were a sight to behold, tiny executables that dynamically patched the exes, like an automated hex edit.

I used look at MS service packs which came on billions of disks and then a Netware path which was like 10k

A dream com true when patches came of the net as opposed to Awful On Line.
Although I collected bunches of CDs to microwave.

Man!!! I just tossed out all of my old floppies .. windows 3.11, win 95, win 98, win nt, dr dos, dos 5 something, turbo c, .. Slackware Linux .. Redhat Linux.. Solaris.. OK Solaris was on a cd ..
Unlike you I still have all of mine, somewhere

I’ve still got my first cd burner, a 2x jobbie with a SCSI interface and an old ISA SCSI card, thing cost me back way back when something like £400 and because of that I refuse to throw it away

I can still remember my first Creative Labs Multi-media blaster kit! 1 or 2x cd drive and a sound card! I had it on lay-a-way for 6 months! I had some really cheap ass speakers though! Thought I was the the cat's @ss with it! :) Went in my laser 386SX PC from Service Merchandise!

My dad was a rader specialist in the navy. He said some of the sailors not in the know would lean up or stand near the radar on cold mornings to warm up. Slow cook!
People that worked at AT&T/Bell South would also do this when they set up the relay station towers between cities. They didn't know what they were doing. :(

It is a lot of fun to scoop up a hive of bees! Yes one might get stung but, grin and bear it.
I was moving a hive when a whole flock of them found an opening in my 501 Jeans. I guess when
I lifted the hive my jeans tightened up. Like I said, after 5 stings in the crotch area, it helps to
smile and work faster.
