Sooo...I think I;m about ready to upgrade to Ver 5. But I am planning on formatting my computer c: and reinstalling a fresh copy of Windows 10 first to get rid of all the othe rcrap I have put on there and make it a dedicated BI machine.
Question is, How do I "upgrade" BI5 if BI4 won't exist on the machine? (My BI4 ver is elig for the BI5 upgrade.) Do I need to contact them first or just use the same license ID as I currently have for BI4?

Also, any reason NOT to use the 64 bit version? I assume that is what I would want to pick for Win10.

1. deactivate your license on BI4
2. export your registry via regedit NOT BI4 to a thumb drive or somewhere other than the drive you are going to format.
3. Install a fresh copy of W10 64
4. once you have os all updated import the reg file you saved
5.Install BI5 then activate (you may need to install the vcredist_64.exe that resides in the BI5 folder....IF you get some error.
