Just joined this morning and have some questions about License Plate Recognition LPR Security Camera W/ Long Range 8-32mm Lens. I have a copy of Blue Iris on a computer and wonder if I have to also install the recognition software fro this camera on same computer and wonder if this will overwhelm the computer resources? Also can Blue Iris take full advantage of all the features of this camera without using the software that comes with he camera, IE can I adjust everything on the camera without switching to the app for this camera? Lastly what are the mounting restrictions(distance, angles, etc) and for nighttime use is IR or regular LED flood lights better?

Could you give me a hint about what I might be missing trying to get my IPCT camera connected to Hik-Connect?
I created a thread in the IPCT forum, but it got moved to the Hikvision forum. Is there anything unique with the IPCT camera versus stock Hikvision? My existing cameras are running older firmware, so it's a bit different.
I'm brand new here and in way over my head,, not sure where to post my long list of questions? I purchased a couple cameras Hikvision DS 2cd 2043G0- and an DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR I can see both cameras on the NVR but I also want to format the micro Sd card for a back up recording, but can't seem to see how to do that/ Now I can't see the cameras in the list on the NVR, but I do have video? Thanks, John

But nevertheless, I was interested if there might be still enough webcam owners out there, that would love a free FTP webcam upload nevertheless, and also would generate enough visits on the webcam, so that it could be financed by ads?
However, since WU changed its mind, we figured a free webcam FTP upload is no longer needed, since they can simply use weatherunderground.com now again (which they do) - or use webcam.io for $4.99 monthly, when they don't have their own weather station.
