New Setup

I have a NVR4208-8P-4Ks2 NVR and 3 IPC-HDW5231R-ZE Cameras. I hooked up a monitor and can see the cameras on it.
I can't seem to get them to show up on my Desktop Computer. I thought all you had to do was enter the IP address into the browser and that would be it.
I've searched and read stuff and don't know what to do..
I really need a step by step..

Yes, that's correct.
Given that the browser is IE11 and can therefore have installed the plugin that the NVR will require for video streaming and some other features.
And that the IP address of the NVR is in the same range as the PC is using.

What happens when you use the NVR IP address in the browser?
What is the IP address of the NVR?
What is the IP address of the PC?

It's looking like the PC and NVR are in the same IP address segment. That's good.

How do I find the IP of the PC?

At a Windows command prompt :
ipconfig /all

What is the result of pointing the browser at the NVR IP address?
Do you get a login screen?

OK, Google is treating the address as a search request, not an IP address. So use this link instead:
http://192.168.1.108/

You will get a prompt about that, if it's not already installed.

That suggests that either the IP address is incorrect, or that web services are not running on that address.

How do you know that is the IP address of the NVR?
Does that address respond to a ping command?

Is the NVR connected to the network using the correct RJ45 port. Not the POE ports on the NVR.
If your cameras are plugged into a switch, the only thing that can be plugged into the switch is the NVR.

Provide a detailed network drawing of your set up.

i'm going to replace the cable from the NVR to the Router..

Yes, it is, you are correct. That's the LAN port of the NVR, Ethernet port 1.

Yes.. that light does blink occasionally..

Looks like I have to figure out why the NVR is not listed as a device in the Router...
