I wonder if us in the Houston area ever have overlapping plates, that would be interesting. If you want a list of litterers, here they are so far

OpenALPR, still a trial as I haven't gotten around to setting up all the steps to store data locally in SQL

I'll eventually go to the $5 plan. But I really wish they would read my emails and let me pay them $10/mo for just a little more features...

You need to go here and start reading. We are storing all plates locally in a docker container. All for $5/month.

Can I just say again, if I haven't already, that many of us are jealous of the angle/height/distance you have and the Texas contrast plates!

For real, sometimes out of state plates come by and they are nowhere near as good. Its funny this position worked so well, it was a haphazard idea to throw it up there just to test after a few beers

Its right on 100-110ft, so its a decent distance, but the zoom on these makes up for it. The second camera won't be so easy I think (Not that doing any LPR setup is "easy")

Great info on this thread...I may have missed it, but in both your camera positions, how high is your camera on the trees?
Also, what was the approximate angle to the street in the initial screen captures?

I don't think I posted that information

Camera is around 7ft off the ground, and there is probably maybe 3ft of elevation change between the street and my yard I think

I'll have to try and measure the angle today, it would be nice to get as a reference to mount the second camera and aim for that angle

Second camera up, working well but I think I have too much angle. On most cars its okay, but on a truck like this I miss the last digit. Damn!
