Help integrating SHARX SCNC3605N to Hikvision DS-7600NI Series NVR

Hi, I have a SHARX SCNC3605N cam that I like, works perfectly, and a Hikvision NVR with a few Hikvision cams. Have been unable to get the NVR to connect to the SHARX cam. SHARX is not on the Hikvision list of cams supported, but was hoping there was a way to fool it etc. Don't think there are any problems with cam, NVR or my network as other Hikvision cams work fine with the NVR and I can access the SHARX directly with a browser or with other other SW NVRs. All equipment is on same net/subnet.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
This is a common reason why people choose software NVRs over hardware NVRs. Compatibility. I wish you luck, but unfortunately can't help as I've never owned a Hikvision NVR. Does the NVR let you add generic h264 / rtsp streams?
 
The Sharx website doesn't seem to provide specs or datasheets or user manuals - so I wasn't able to check if the camera is ONVIF compliant.
But if it is - you should be able to query it for lots of useful information such as the 'ONVIF port' (in the URL at the bottom of the Identification page), RTSP string (at the bottom of the Live Video page) with the very good Windows open-source tool 'ONVIF Device Manager' from sourceforge.net
If you can - you should then be able to add pretty well any camera to your NVR assuming it has either ONVIF or the 'Custom protocol' feature in Camera Management.
So far I've been able to connect all of the 7 or 8 different brands of camera I've had, at least for scheduled continuous recording.

Thanks, Actually had sw NVR first, but cost gets prohibitive for 16 cams and requires computer anyway.

Looks like Hikvision as a company is ONVF compliant with their cameras, but not with their NVRS yet. Sharx has no connection to ONVF.
Thanks for your help/suggestion. I guess I will use the Sharx with a sw NVR that I have and get more Hikvision cams (which are very good in general) to use with my new Hikvision NVR.
 
Hikvision NVRs do support ONVIF - but it depends on the version of firmware, it looks like it's been dropped (for the NVR as a device, not as a means to connect cameras) in the newest firmware, from 3.2.1
So - even if your Sharx cameras don't support ONVIF, making it easy to find useful information using ODM, if your NVR has the 'Custom protocol' feature in Camera Management, you should be able to add them for recording only, as shown in the screenshot above.

Your specific model isn't listed in iSpyconnect, but maybe the RTSP string for the 3905 is worth trying:
