Hi there,

Running the above Dahua NVR with system version v4.001.0000005.1, build date 13-07-2021.

When I try to load the latest .bin firmware update from the Dahua website via the GUI I either get an update failed & the NVR reboots, or I get no error & the NVR reboots. When it comes backup in the logs all I get recorded is that it shutdown....

Trying to load this firmware NVR4104HS-P-4KS2/L

Anyone else had the same issue & know of how to resolve?

That's not the correct firmware for your NVR.

ahhh - that will be the issue then lol... it read it as the "/L" at the end being an optional model of compatibility.

Looks like I am already on the latest release then...

Indeed your current firmware is the latest.
Nice 4 series NVR's they are. Fitted loads in the past.

Glad you didn't brick the unit with the incorrect firmware. If that was a Hikvision NVR with a wrongly forced firmware, it would of most likely bricked it!
