I also find the IR falls off a lot towards the edges, even with 6mm lens fov. The hot center means the shadows at night can be dark so I put a thin strip of frosted mylar between the two LEDs to kill the hot spot. The camera exposure is better and illumination much more even.

Maybe yours aren't stock dahua. What firmware you using? Daytime mine look great right out of the box. Nighttime shadows were a bit dark so brought them up a tad. Cameras have great images, just need a bit of light at night compared to the best.

I'm playing with the BI demo now, IVS is better imo. More reliable with less fuss. Plus IVS differentiates people, vehicle or regular motion. At least in smartpss it does. BI can't do that at all. Quite a step backwards imho.

Yes, no different than in post #9 when the poe is connected to the router directly. Neither is secure without something upstream blocking the cameras.

Following up on this...it turns out Windows can do this after all. Quite easily actually. I just needed to tell Windows to link my Ethernet adapter to the WIFI adapter. That was a simple as highlighting both adapters, right clicking and selecting the option to join them.
