I've just installed a new NVR and one camera at my parents place. It's a DS-7604NI-I1/4P NVR with a DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL camera. The issue is the live vision and play back are not smooth. It freezes and then jumps forward. Sub stream is smooth. I've installed the latest firmware. Tried x264...

OK, so i finally worked it out!! Can now view using the Asus, just have to get iVMS working now... EDIT: Got that working too!

Yes i can see each camera's IP address in camera management. Nothing happens if i put that address into my browser though.

Since it all works with the original router, i'd assume that the virtual host is enabled?

Sounds risky...Maybe i will just keep the old router for when i need to change anything. I can still view the cameras with the Hik-connect app and Asus router.

Sorry, i rebooted the NVR and now have all access again with the old router. Yes, Hikvision.

It was 5 years since i installed the cameras etc, so i can't remember what i did unfortunately. I just re-installed my old router and still cannot access cameras via iVMS or on my laptop.

Looking at the NVR via my TV, the Gateway matches what ipconfig says.

I can connect my old modem no problems, not sure on what and where to do these changes though.

I can log into my Asus router no problems.

OK so the cameras are connected to an NVR. I use iVMS-4500 app on my iPhone when i want to view at home as it's quicker to load but it's also not working since the router change. I use Hik-Connect app when i'm remote viewing away from home, that still works.

So i just replaced my old modem/router with an Asus DSL-AC68U that I've had for years. I'm trying to be able to view my camera's through my laptop but can't work out how to set things up again. The old address was 10.0.0.xxx etc, but that no longer works. I've tried port forwarding in the Asus...

Is there a reason the 8mp is only available in the bullet style and not a turret? EDIT: Just found that they are available, sorry.

Did some reading on here last night and found a possible problem with the Colorvu in my set-up. I have 2 other camera's at the front of the house and they use IR, here is a pic showing the IR light that is captured by the camera i was going to replace with the Colorvu. Will the purple color...

Really want to add a camera to pick up car number plates at a corner near my house. Distance would be about 30 meters, am using a Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2-8P. Any recommendations on a camera? It's only purpose would be for plate ID, so not worried about anything else. Wouldn't mind it with sound...

Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way of sending recorded video's from either the Hik-Connect or iVMS-4500 iPhone apps? I can't get it to work, i have an iPhone 7.

Problem is it's the only 2.8mm i have, so nothing to compare it too.
