N43AB52 built-in illuminator not turning on

It was set to auto. I figured it out - went to exposure and moved the slider on exposure comp from 50 (default) to 100, then back to 50, and now camera is exposing properly - guess the exposure was way too low and didn't automatically adjust as it got dark, for some reason.

N43AB52 built-in illuminator not turning on

Hi folks, I've noticed at times my N43AB52 Starlight camera (powered by Dahua POE NVR) switches to night/b&w profile (automatically when it gets past dusk, I take it, not sure where settings are for that), the camera doesn't light up the built-in IR illuminator light, and going from Auto to...

Hmmmm, it was Firefox and Chrome, both Mac and Windows. I tried in IE and it shows up. How weird.

    Dahua N52B3P4 No Backup Option

I'm trying to export three cams worth of footage over a week's time from a Dahua NVR N52B3P4 (V4.001.0000006.0 build 2021-02-08) and I see on the Dahua wiki as well as YT videos that you can use a Backup option to dump the files on the main menu to a USB drive. I can't find "Backup" on my menu...

    Dahua IPC-HFW3441E-SA

So I finally heard from ICCTVZone, and they don't have it. Googled and found only one other, CCTV-Mall.com that says "in-stock" and their website is a bit more screwy. Turns out both ICCTVZone and CCTV-Mall are run by same paypal address, jeffwang83@hotmail.com. So I'm passing for now...

    Dahua IPC-HFW3441E-SA

Hi folks, I was browsing Dahua's website and it appears they have a Starlight bullet cam IPC-HFW3441E-SA with a built-in mic, which would be nice. I checked with Andy and he does not carry or offer it, nor a bullet cam with a mic; closest is the IPC-HFW5442T-ASE which he does have (no...

    HTTP Triggers, Smart IR?

Yes that review was done by you, and I've been in talks with Andy about the 5442, looks like I'll be going that way. :) Can the Dahua IP cams do http triggers?

    HTTP Triggers, Smart IR?

Hi folks, I'm looking at moving from Hikvision cameras to Dahua Starlights (not sure the model yet, preferably bullet as I don't need varifocal) and one of the main reasons for the jump is looking for better motion detection and ability to send HTTP triggers to my software (using open-source...

    Loryta Brand on Amazon Shop

Thanks, I'll shoot Andy a message and see what he says. @aristobrat - So the fixed bullet (no varifocal) 5442 series is the U.S. model, and you reviewed the verifocal version of that bullet cam (international PN) from what I can see, correct?

    Loryta Brand on Amazon Shop

So, how can I connect your brands on Amazon with the models listed on Dahua's website? For example, if I'm looking for a simple 2.8 fixed Starlight bullet cam, (let's say Dahua #N53AB52), I can't find anything listed through your links. Or, is it a new camera that you don't have yet? Shoot...

Yep, got it. Bridge mode it is. I probably didn't wait or reset things going from NAT to Bridge.

Reset/Find IP Address of Hikvision NVR

So what networking settings are you using in a virtual machine to get SADP to work, if the cameras are just connected to a POE switch without a router? On the host machine (OS X) I'm going manual ethernet, 192.168.1.10 for ip, 255.255.255.0, and 192.168.1.1 for gateway. On VMWare Fusion, I'm...

Reset/Find IP Address of Hikvision NVR

Weird, I entered a reply yesterday but then the server was down for maintenance and now my message is gone. Is there a similar function I can do with NMAP tool (for use on Linux or Mac) that will do the same thing as SADP - or what makes SADP able to find Hikvision products?

Reset/Find IP Address of Hikvision NVR

I've got a Hikvision DS-7608NI-E2/8P NVR, and I had it set to a static IP, well I went in and checked DHCP so on reboot it would get IP from router (where I would assign IP), but now I can't find it anywhere. I tried using NMAP on 192.168.1.0/24, 192.168.1.1/24, and the static IP range it was...

Hikvision DS-2CD2035-I - every 2 minutes drops network

Switched from StarTech USB adapter to drive the camera switch to the built-in ethernet, and no change. On OS X, there is a energy-efficient-ethernet mode, and I turned that off (see here: Using energy-efficient-ethernet mode on Macs may cause drops) but still no change. So yes, thanks for...

Hikvision DS-2CD2035-I - every 2 minutes drops network

So I've got 6 Hikvision DS-2CD2035-I cameras (firmware V5.4.0 build 160401) connected to a Netgear POE switch, and that switch is going to a Mac Mini running Shinobi, with a shared network connection that's not visible to the outside world, no router (though I put in a 192.168.254.1 address as...

Hikvision NVR - Email not working

Talked to my hosting company. SSL on the Hikvision isn't working properly. Had to use port 26 or 587. Not the 465 (std. SSL) or 110 (non-SSL) per hosting co. documentation. Weird. Oh well, working now. Thanks for your help.

Hikvision NVR - Email not working

Ok, how's this? Seems to be a handshake failure in the SSL stuff - the NVR is connecting and saying hello, but the response is go away from the mail server - how can I figure out if it's an SSL version problem? What version of SSL does the NVR use (latest US firmware)?

Hikvision NVR - Email not working

Ok, got a smart switch mirrored port and Wireshark - what am I looking for? The only thing that looks weird is the "<accountName>" tag in one of the lines like "POST /ISAPI/System/Network/mailing..." has a bunch of jumbled characters in it - while everything else is plain text - I can see the...

Ok, can I do that from the NVR? Or is that router-specific?

Hikvision NVR - Email not working

No, this is private email through a web hosting service, that I manage and I don't have any restrictions on it (use it with VOIP phones, voicemail emailing services, etc.). So not Gmail. I'm using SSL through port 465 per my server, and it works with everything else but not the NVR.

Hikvision NVR - Email not working

Hi all, So, I've searched and searched, using a new US version Hikvision 8 port POE NVR (DS-7608NI-E2 series) with the latest firmware (3.4.95 build 170626), and I've tried my mail server address as well as actual IP address, also changed from router DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 google DNS...

Hikvision (PoE) mount in standard wall box

Nope, make your own. Take that metal plate, mark and place some small pilot holes in there and toss in some self-tapping machine screws to mount your cameras. Drill a hole large enough for your camera cat5 connector to go through so it's in the box, place the side exit hole on your mount plate...

Best cheap NVR for Hik cams with good iPhone/iPad support?

That's what I was afraid of... are there any better non-Hikvision NVRs that are more Mac-friendly? I don't want a dedicated IPCam computer - just a NVR box at this time.

    Networking a 1000' gap

Can't edit my post because it thinks I'm entering spam? I'd go with buried cable or fiber, if cable - this unit (The Enable-IT 860C PRO - Coax Ethernet Extender), or avoid the hassles of eventual water entry into cable (every direct burial cable will get water into it - just a matter of time)...

Best cheap NVR for Hik cams with good iPhone/iPad support?

I realize this thread is two years old, but I have a european Hikvision DS-7608N-E2/8P, and I've had a heck of a time being able to see anything on my Mac in Safari or Firefox with both the MAC Web Component for IP Cameras v3.0.6.12 and Mac USSC Web Video Plugin for NVR/DVR v3.0.5.26 both...

    Hikvision DS-7608N-E2/8P Reset Button?

So to follow up, I finally was able to get ahold of the seller, located in Europe, and he contacted Hikvision Europe, gave them the SADP code I exported and a few minutes later I got the unlock code. It took me awhile to get the cameras connected to the NVR - I needed to change the IP from...
