HTTP Triggers, Smart IR?

Hi folks,
I'm looking at moving from Hikvision cameras to Dahua Starlights (not sure the model yet, preferably bullet as I don't need varifocal) and one of the main reasons for the jump is looking for better motion detection and ability to send HTTP triggers to my software (using open-source Shinobi). Do Dahua cams allow http triggers, and if so, how would one configure them? Also, reading some reviews, it seems as though one of the best Smart IR (which I'd need, no outdoor lighting and I don't want to blow out detail) bullets is HAC-HFW2241T-Z-A. I was looking at the HFW5442T-ASE but the review from last summer shows that it totally blows out faces, bad, which isn't a good thing. Has this been fixed in recent firmware for the HFW5442T-ASE? Do the varifocals allow for better detail and better Smart IR? I don't need the zoom, and they are definitely larger (would prefer less obvious cams), but I might pick one up to see and compare if they are the cats meow. Also, I want to hook up a mic (powered by single wire POE like the cams so I'd probably need a splitter) to one or two of the cameras - any suggestions would be great. Thanks for your input and opinions.

HAC-HFW2241T-Z-A was likely mine but those are analog HDCVI cameras, Not IP cameras. CVI cameras have really good SmartIR for some reason

The 5442 series has improved with regards to SmartIR, check with Andy and on his forum for the latest firmware.

Yes that review was done by you, and I've been in talks with Andy about the 5442, looks like I'll be going that way. :) Can the Dahua IP cams do http triggers?
