    Mini-Review - 5442-ZE-S3 AKA T54IR-ZE-S3 - Replacement to 5442-ZE

Do you know why the image settings on the live screen are different from the image settings on the camera tab? Does yours do this?

    Mini-Review - 5442-ZE-S3 AKA T54IR-ZE-S3 - Replacement to 5442-ZE

Thanks @wittaj, I've had my T54IR-ZE-S3 up for a couple weeks and overall I like it. I'm disappointed in the IR. It seems very hot spot towards the bottom of the frame rather than dispersed. In the location I have the camera I can actually turn the IR off, customized scene, run 20ms, B/W, and...

Recommendation for Equipment for 24 Simultaneous Cameras with Recording.

Any mainstreams I pull are 2MP, any substream I pull (if the camera has the option) is 2MP or less. 12 cameras run 33% CPU of Intel Core i5 9600K. I just haven't gotten around to moving to BI5 yet.

Recommendation for Equipment for 24 Simultaneous Cameras with Recording.

@wittaj I don't want to hijack the thread, so just for clarification, your recommendation to turn off HA is applicable to Blue Iris 5 only, correct? Because it utilizes dual streams. What is your recommendation for Blue Iris 4 users?

EmpireTech 2023 Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday Sales Nov.20-24th

So this will be the first time I am interested in participating, I have purchased many cameras from Andy. Because of this, I do not need to purchase a camera to purchase tickets, correct? But if I purchase cameras, I will receive extra tickets. Am I reading this all correct?

Firmware QCN8026B QSee IP HD Camera

I won't attach to the post, I don't think that's allowed, but I will work on putting them someplace and DM you the link. I'll try to get this done in the next day or so. I'll leave that link active for a week.

Firmware QCN8026B QSee IP HD Camera

I have these files archived from my very first Costo Q-See kit system. I don't think the kit came with the 8026B, but I "upgraded" a couple times and know I owned a couple 8026b at one time, before moving to Dahua and Blue Iris. I know that Dahau was the OEM for Q-See cameras. I honestly do...

Comparison between PTZs - the 49225 versus 49425 versus Mini-PTZ - mailbox checker

If one were so inclined to move up to the $500-800 class device, would the SD5A425GA-HNR being 4MP on 1/1.8 sensor, be the go to option, as well as better IR distance?

Best way to plug 5/8 inch holes from pre-terminated cat5 cable runs?

BlueIris with 8MP 4K (IPC2128SR5-ADF28KM-G) video looks like 1 FPS

OP is using H.265 encoding, best practices are to use plain H.264, not H.264B, not H.264H. And IMHO, don't mix encoders (some cams H.264, some cams H.265), Blue Iris doesn't seem to tolerate that well. All cameras set to H.264. Use CBR, match FPS and iframe. Set at least 8192 Mb/s for 8MP. Do...

Configure new cameras at one location for installation at another

Exactly my plan. I need to configure 3 cameras at my house, then my dad is going to install them tomorrow at a different house while I am at work, so I want to have the cameras ready to go when I give them to him.

Configure new cameras at one location for installation at another

Is there any reason I can't configure a new camera at one location for installation at another location as long as I assure it is a unique IP address or use DHCP then change to static when at the final location?

    Dahua firmware update issues.

You may have a better path forward by describing what your issue is. Provide all the camera information. If your camera is connected to an NVR, best practices is to pull the camera off of the NVR and diagnose the camera only. Immediately going to a firmware update may mask or make an issue...

IPC-HFW1831E No Image and Weird Behavior

I'll risk the wrath of the forum and actually make one more recommendation from personal experience and best practices found on this site. I'll hazard a guess this is a newer experience for you. This is why I recommended checking the camera first before adding to the NVR. I had a whole system...

IPC-HFW1831E No Image and Weird Behavior

I have a few of the 1831E in service. This is off topic, but I would recommend leaving on the 2.622 firmware. For the 1831E's I updated to 2.8x, the camera bitrate runs about 2.5 times higher than whatever I set it to. Many here recommend if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I found other...

    q see cam issue

You could always try a VM using an older OS if that would expand your options. Another option to consider would be to treat the camera as if it were bricked and hack it to reload a firmware and default settings. But you'd have to have a firmware. I think someone more familiar with this process...

    q see cam issue

I don't know how many OEMs Q-See used as suppliers. When I had my Q-See cameras, the models I had just happened to have been supplied by Dahua. When I started researching into information and issues, is when I first stumbled on this site. Manufacturers are not exactly forthcoming with where...

Logitech Alert 700e -Failing Power Adapters

I have not used this, but had it bookmarked in the event I ever needed to replace a powerline adapter. You're looking for an affordable replacement for the Logitech powerline adapter, which works on the Homeplug AV v1 standard. You can use this, but it works on the G.hn standard, so you would...

    2.5 drive recommendation?

There is only one AV rated drive that I am aware of that is even available, the WD AV-25 WD10JUCT. It is a 1TB drive. It is an older drive and will not give you the performance of an optimized current drive such as the WD Purple series.

SD49225XA-HNR rolling shutter above shutter speed 1/120

I got around to installing my SD49225XA-HNR about a month ago, after having purchased from Andy a couple months before that. I've been dialing it in for it's application, but I get a rolling shutter effect at any setting of 1/120 or above. The higher the shutter setting, the worse it gets. I...
