Is there anything different about buying from IPcam vs directly from BI?

If I download BI from their website, is it any different than the one downloaded from ipcamtalk?

If I use this NVR with my ptz, am I able to record continuously BUT, still have the ability to look at events that are triggered by a rule in a given preset? If I get this, I’ll buy Blue Iris as well to help manage it.
