Just to follow up. Not sure why, but all of a sudden the mp4 will download from IE. No changes made to system other than rebooting cameras.

New dahua nvr. From IE on local network pc I can download recorded video only in dav format. Nothing happens if I select mp4 option. Why?

Using palemoon seems to function well with PTZ. Trying to setup autotracking on SD5A425GA-HNR. Have created preset. Not seeing option for smartplan nor IVS nor autotracking. Where do I look?

The hard reset of the ptz did the trick. Now I can set the ir illuminator power. In the process however I ran into difficulty with the cam password. The camera, the nvr, and the lan pc - all seemed to NOT agree on the password (intermittently). In other words, I set the same password on all...

I reset the cam with small button in back of ptz and for some reason neither the nvr nor a pc on the lan recognizes the ptz anymore. Ideas?

Tried IE11 on Windows 7 and same result. The illuminator tab fails to open (crashes) and requires re-signing in to camera.

Thanks for the reply. After mounting cam on building I've tried accessing via the nvr and also on LAN via pc and firefox. During bench testing the illuminator controls did in fact appear on the nvr controls.

I tried swapping power supplies to no avail. Also restarting ptz. The ir LEDs switch depending on zoom but they appear to be at ~50% (guessing here). Why is there no option to adjust the illuminators? Any ideas whatsoever? Please? With sugar on top?

Bench tested a new SD5A425GA-HNR ptz with a Dahua nvr. All worked well, including test of ir illuminator with nvr control... normal illuminator options were available (auto/manual/0-100). However after installing the ptz on building the nvr control does not show option to adjust illuminator...

Thank you. Not sure I understand. A. Is not the 802.3at spec for only 30 watts? B. Dahua lists powersupply spec at 2.5 amps (60 watts) but only 21 watts consumption by the ptz. What spec do we use for purposes of determining PoE? From Dahua spec sheet SD5A425GA-HNR

Additionally, is the idea to run poe+ power via the sole cat6 connection to the ptz? Or, is it to also add power (in addition to poe+ via cat6) via the ptz power leads (black & red wires)?

Another question: what off-the-shelf item will take poe+ from a cat6 and output 12-32vdc at 13 watts? This is for an ir illuminator.

Is there a prevailing/preferred 16 port poe+ switch make or model? Truth be told I do not presently need poe+. Rather just trying to anticipate future possible need.
