New dahua nvr. From IE on local network pc I can download recorded video only in dav format. Nothing happens if I select mp4 option. Why?

This is what I get in IE. Downloads mp4 just fine.
You should try SmartPSS, much better tool to download clips as well as live view and searching through footage

I too get the same option as you've shown for mp4 but for some reason nothing happens when I click ok. It does work however for the dav option.

Are you sure you are actually in IE and they didn't sneak Edge in on you or use Edge with IE compatibility mode?

Does this version have known compatibility issues?
I can download videos both in DAV or MP4 format with IE no problem, but any other browser is Dav only.
Just to follow up. Not sure why, but all of a sudden the mp4 will download from IE. No changes made to system other than rebooting cameras.
