Problem solved thank you wittaj. I had to lower fps, bitrate and video quality right down to eventually stop the NVR crashing. I can now set the cameras up when its dark then reset bitrate etc etc back to normal once finished.

Interesting andy. Was there a way to try the original case fan with the speed reducer to see if it calms the noise down enough or is the Gelid way better? My 7604 only has the 1 fan (case) anyway but the noise is a little more than I can take. Cheers

My 2142 is not the best under IR, luckily I've got sufficient light to leave it on day settings all the time. You could take the dome off and try it without to see if that is the problem

Just to update... I can log into iVMS-4500 on android and access camera with 192.168.1.108 on both WiFi and data, now I'm back on 192.168.254.6 it will only work on WiFi not data for some reason. Oh hum.
