Motion Detection Selected in Schedule but Constant Record

Ya, I was fortunate that the router we are using has OpenVPN installed, so I was able to set that up and then connect on the VPN to hit the IP Address... Not sure it makes anything any safer with P2P open or not, but since its an HOA and its not only me who needs access, I can't just make it...

Motion Detection Selected in Schedule but Constant Record

I figured it out, it was that I had to select teach camera channel individually, so I did a copy settings to all. Ya, I'm not connected to the network the cameras are on, so using SmartPSS is my easiest option that seems to do what I need it to do...

Not sure what setting I missed, but I think I've checked everything for Motion record and not continuous record. Anyone able to pint me to a hidden menu...

Dahua 5216 16ch Web Live View shows only 4 cameras

Came here looking for the same thing, wanted to confirm in 2023 that this still works. I think its archaic and terrible you have to install a chinese plugin, who knows what data it is stealing, but it works...

    NVR IP Assignment

I'm not sure, since all of them are showing down, I've got a jumble of wires in the closet and when plugging in all of them none of them come up. I plugged them all in on my bench, accessed each of them with the individual IP 10.1.1.XX and the password the new NVR set and was fine. I really...

    NVR IP Assignment

Ya, unfortunately the only way to know for sure would be to get someone around here to help go up on a ladder, take it down then test it with a known working good cable. That won't happen today, maybe tomorrow. I was hoping if I could get one of the old IPPower cameras to connect to the new...

    NVR IP Assignment

I thought about that, but since I have already setup the "new" cameras on the 10.1.1.XX address range, I don't want to blow myself out of the water there. If I did set it to 10.0.0.XX, don't I still need to factory reset them to pick up the new NVR password? Won't the cameras still be using...

    NVR IP Assignment

The "older" caemras I have are from an old NVR that gave out a 10.0.0.XX address, this new NVR gives out a 10.1.1.XX address. the old cameras are locked to the 10.0.0.XX address it seems, and the only way to get them to go back to a default address is to factory reset them. They are not Dahua...

Tp link switch and dahua camera

If its a Dahua camera, I believe the default IP Address should be 192.168.1.108. The DHCP of the router has to be giving out the 192.168.1.X address, otherwise the router won't see the camera. I had this happen to me on my Dahua NVR and had to change the IP Address of the NVR to the...

    NVR Camera Ports

How does putting the NVR into bridge mode help? I read your thread but don't really understand why it would matter? Are you saying that if you assign the IP Address per camera then the port on the NVR doesn't matter?

    NVR Camera Ports

So, as an update, I got my NVR today and plugged things in. So the camera doesn't seem to have any memory...
