    2 new cams

Ordered 15th January 2023, just arrived 20th January. N.E. Scotland. Thanks @EMPIRETECANDY 2* PTZ SD49425XB-HNR to replace two non-functioning SD49225XA-HNR... Thanks for great speedy service.....

    SD49225XA-HNR

9 months on and both of these cameras have failed within a couple of weeks. Both are on separate cables and switches, so I can't blame that. The ethernet cables remain live according to an ethernet checker I got from Amazon. I've brought the wildlife one in to look at. Taking the back off I...

Help with WiFi point to point

Fing didn't and doesn't! Cams, currently, are set as static IP addresses, but for some reason one of Reolink cams has the same IP (Auto) as one of the Static ones, albeit with :8000 added on the address. The router seems incapable of removing that Auto address - so the camera is now off line...

Help with WiFi point to point

Of notice, this morning during some investigation. Two cameras have the same IP address - not helpful in that the router doesn't seem able to remove one with a static address! I have my 2 Dahua cameras on separate switch boxes. One is stable, the other won't connect. Will leave for a while and...

Help with WiFi point to point

Maybe, but the same setup has been running for over a year, it's only in the last 6-8 weeks that things have become flaky and more so in the last 4 weeks. The 'only' wifi part is between the house and the barn - once inside the node (CT-8) is wired back to the router (RT-AX92U). Where I now have...

Help with WiFi point to point

The point-to-point are KuWfi CPE 5.8, set as AP. When they didn't pair and run satisfactorily on plug&play I manually set them up as AP in the GUI. As that didn't work, initially I was tearing what hair I had left, out! And your understanding is correct. The ASUS AiMesh connects but is...

Help with WiFi point to point

Hi all, My house network is covered by an ASUS aimesh setup, with one node out in the outside garage - its nearest indoor node is 3 metres with breezeblock, double glazing and wood in the way. The link to this node is wifi and is then connected to my cams through a couple of switch boxes. The...

    SD49225XA-HNR

Thanks. Herons are on manual zoom, not quite closest. Badger camera on "Human" & "Vehicle" IVS. General settings for video etc were, at the time, on default.

    Skipping whilst recording motion

Indeed, but the recording is 'continuous, i.e. It continues after the break - what's it doing, having a cup of coffee? I watched the postman this morning the record followed him until it reached the gate, then saw him leaving - no in-between bit.... Odd. I have setting on 300 (max).

    Skipping whilst recording motion

On two separate Dahua PTZs, I have breaks showing in recording streams. Cameras do the 'heavy' work, whilst BI5 displays and stores the recordings. Instance 1) Courier tracked down the track, man exits van - van then leaves. Record misses out 20-40 seconds of the delivery and the driver...

    Dahua PTZ Setup issues

Most issues now solved, except for the odd exposure setting, especially overnight. After reading what others have done/said on various threads, my settings are, for the dahua PTZs. My overall CPU has dropped from over 40% to around 15%.

    How many cameras everyone running?

    Isn't IP similar to Plug&Play.... :smash::winktongue:

    How many cameras everyone running?

Are there any cctv cameras sensitive enough for stars or even the aurora?

    How many cameras everyone running?

Ah now, what are you using for the "sky cam"? A cctv type, or dedicated astronomy camera? I use a ZWO 178 MC on allskeye software.

    SD49225XA-HNR

Clip. 90 seconds deleted from the beginning - don't know what triggered the original, but a fortuitous capture. Watch out for the teleport :D

    How many cameras everyone running?

Nothing is overkill as long as it makes you feel secure. I do 6 ( but 4 of those are primarily for wildlife :D - that's maybe my overkill :D )

Is there a bug in Dahau GUI?

Ah - thank you - I expected something obvious, and there it was! Still would have expected the checkboxes to reflect the settings. But thank you, another thing learned on this long voyage of camera settings.... Now have to work out why the camera only zooms, but doesn't pan/track on IVS.

Is there a bug in Dahau GUI?

I generally do use IE, but that made no difference.

Is there a bug in Dahau GUI?

When I make any attempt to change the schedule/period setting on the Dahua GUI, webpage, under IVS - It never appears to show a change in the GUI. If I set up 24/7. Save. Save again on the "Rule Config" page and then return to Period "Setting" it always shows 'just' Sunday, and not "All" as...

    Dahua PTZ Setup issues

Camera's reacting this morning, because it's a Sunday! I still can't get the 24/7 full timescale to take in the settings. Might have to revert to default and start a-fresh. The reaction, though is Zoom only - it's not panning to follow the target beyond Home preset.

Two manual snapshots from 2 cameras - in-camera settings identical. Mid-evening twilight.

    Dahua PTZ Setup issues

Everything is being done on the camera. Schedule isn't (or doesn't appear) to be saved to 24/7, no matter how many 'save' buttons I press. I'd prefer to let the camera do what it's designed to do. Aye on the cows....but that's all I have moving to test settings on...... :D

Why no trigger event for this blatant motion?

Seems best all-round to do most changes in the camera? - that's when they should save, though....!

    Dahua PTZ Setup issues

Chuckles. But at least the SV3C mostly behaves itself! In daylight its colour leaves a lot to be desired - at least the Reolink do give a reasonably good day image :D

    Dahua PTZ Setup issues

Hi all, I am using BI5, at the moment only as a display of a number of cameras - 1* SV3C - 3* Reolink(!) - 2* Dahua (thanks Andy). Using IE to access the camera's GUI.... 1) What's the most effective setup for a PTZ, given that its span of view encompasses 4 or 5 preset positions. I set up a...

    SD49225XA-HNR Dip Switches?

Thanks. I saw that video earlier this morning. It doesn't show autotext, but I got the gist. I followed everything but haven't seen it working through the browser yet. I'm limited at the moment to the cows and overflying pigeons! Interesting times, somewhat fun!

Why no trigger event for this blatant motion?

I have that issue on a few of my PCs that I look into from a central laptop. It's usually because I can't remember the password for the local PC, or it was on a different network SSD! I "solved" it by installing and using AnyDesk, and also installing an imesh system.......

    SD49225XA-HNR Dip Switches?

Save seems temperamental. It saves for a while and then returns to 'preset'. Not to worry, just need to check it's working on this one option first.
