    nvr or computer 5 cams.

I'm using an i5 (4th Gen 2.9) with 5 cams with conservative settings (still trying to figure those out) with direct to disk, and I average ~33% when not recording.

You are right, I could get rid of those two., I guess my thinking was to record audio in the house during vacation, but not necessary..

Day/Night Motion Settings (without profile use?)

I agree I do need to get my head around profile, but I must admit it's the only part of BI so far, that is not at all intuitive. Since I have to drive these day / night motion and record setting with profiles, 7 doesn't seem to be nearly enough. I'm thinking I need to at add a Weekday and...

    Newbie with some questions

From a beginner myself..... 1) If you are going to use a POE switch and a NAS, why not just use a POE NVR? 2) I think the rear camera is going to have to be 2.8mm to capture both doors. Does that porch light stay on at night? 3) I think the front cam will need to be moved closer to the...

Day/Night Motion Settings (without profile use?)

How do I setup change for the motion / record options based on Day / night without using profiles (like the camera's use)? The screen shot shows a failed attempt using profiles, but it just becomes WAY to complicated.

    Detection FOV Limit?

I know, but I need to see if the camera's motion system has the same effect. I don't know of any other way to diagnose this problem, as it seems nothing I do in BI makes any difference across 2 camera's.. I'm at a loss right now.. Oh and what do you think of the image quality of the above...

    Detection FOV Limit?

I did not know about that., but BI is doing it's own motion proccessing right?, so it shouldn't matter I would think.... I don't even have motion active on the camera. Where am I looking for this setting? I just had that active so I could do some testing. My next step is I guess to setup the...

    Detection FOV Limit?

Yea, I have already tried the delete and re-add trick. I guess I will try the shuting down of d2d, but I have my doubts about it. The reason why I think there is a problem with BI is because 2 camera's (different MFG's) have the exact same problem. I'm wondering if the 2 outer house walls are...

    Detection FOV Limit?

Ok so here is the picture of where the camera always catches the motion, this was the first frame of today's delivery, and she came from the left side. The red directional arrows is the problem path, the green arrows always triggers. The camera's also does not pick up motion on the far right...

    Detection FOV Limit?

FPS set at 12; iFrame 12 (I've also tried 24) The hot spot actually did not change anything. Sliders all the way to the left makes no difference then if on the right. (Although I pickup all motion on the right side of the FOV, including headlights bugs.. etc..) It's interesting because when...

    Detection FOV Limit?

Problem: I have been trying to figure out why my camera's (I've had a Hik 2032 and now a Dahua in this location in 1080P Mode) will not pick up motion when someone comes up from the left (Camera POV) of the camera's FOV until the person hits the middle of my walk way. I have a Hot spot there...

Others with more experience will be here soon, but I think your budget is too low. You should probably think about at least doubling it. The word here is stay away from wireless if at all possible. Here is my setup, pretty modest really and I'm probably right around 1K. (including the Cat 6...

I purchased 2 DS-2CD2032-I on Amazon (HD Security Store), which came in legit HikVison sealed boxes with all the accessories. I just noticed that both my camera's only have 2 resolution selections.. What is up with that??
