    Powering IPC-SD22204UE-GN-W wireless PTZ camera

By the way, I found a netgear 12volt 1amp power adapter and the camera does boot up and I setup the username/password. And plugged an old SVC camera into the cable and POE switch to make sure they both worked.

    Powering IPC-SD22204UE-GN-W wireless PTZ camera

Okay, I tried to different POE switches and cables. No joy, the POE lights never come on and after 10 minutes still no connectivity. So back to the original question, any recommendations for POE power splitter. I looked on amazon and found a few but the reviews aren't great. Thanks again.

    Powering IPC-SD22204UE-GN-W wireless PTZ camera

I won a 6th place prize in Andy's latest lottery (yea) and while I was expecting a t-shirt :) I actually got a pretty cool camera, a IPC-SD22204UE-GN-W, a 2mp, 4x zoom PTZ. It did not come with a power adapter and when I plugged it into a POE port it did not power on. I would like to replace...

I have a couple of questions and observations and could use some advice. I'm adding another hard drive to my system and would like to get rid of all the old .bvr files and jpgs. Currently I have 31,000+ jpg files occupying 28 GB of space. I don't want to lose all my camera settings. Should I...

What brand name variety of cameras should I have for commercial selling demonstration purposes?

I think you'll find that even cheap cameras have decent performance in day light situations, it's low light and back light scenes they will struggle with and perhaps motion even in good lighting. The trick is to demonstrate that in real time.

    AddToBIDB failed 121?

Thanks. I'll check to see what my settings are. I got it working again by deleting EVERYTHING in the new, alters and aux-1 directories and then rebuilding the DB. The thing that surprised me was the size of the database did not change it's still 700mb.

    AddToBIDB failed 121?

Did you ever solve the problem with your DB? I'm running version 5.7.3.0 from March and everything has been great until today. Now all alters, new and AUX-1 show "empty list" with error 121 in the log files. I rebuilt the database and deleted all the .jpg files and rebuilt the database again...

getting ready to install bi on a win 11 machine, what is the best setup for storage?

Use the format command from CMD (windows key + CMD) format X: /q /fs: ntfs /V:vol-name /A:1M where x: is the drive letter and vol-name is the label for the disk like Blue-Iris. /Q says do a quick format without verifying disk. it takes a few hours to verify a 4tb disk. type "help format"...

getting ready to install bi on a win 11 machine, what is the best setup for storage?

As you write to the file and the file needs to be extended, it gets extended by the clustersize. if you have small files, having a large cluster size results in allocating much more space on the disk than the file occupies. For large files having a larger cluster size means the file system has...
