    4300c 3mp bullet issue

If you have a Dahua NVR and a Dahua camera, select "Private" for manufacturer. That may be the problem regarding seeing your cameras via the NVR.

Is it Adios Audio, or are my Settings Sound?

So far (I have my fingers crossed) I have solid video from my four IPC-HDW4300C cameras! I achieved this by disabling the audio! I believe that the loss of video was due to bandwidth limitations of my network. I tried to remedy this by lowering the resolution, frame rate and bit rate to no...

Auto Maintain - Do I really need this?

I posted you a "Thank You" badmop for your helpful advice. I did see the IR lights working last night, even though that wasn't the reason I made the trip outside. Incidentally, it is snowing here in Reno, Nevada as I write this. Regarding the lack of power, I will look into it.

Auto Maintain - Do I really need this?

It was premature of me to blame the "Auto Reboot" feature because two of my IPC-HFW4300C cameras lost video last night. So, I don't think turning off this feature will help you badmop. I was beguiled into believing that I had found the culprit because my cameras maintained video for a record...

Auto Maintain - Do I really need this?

Thanks for the information JimandYen. The reason I posed this question is because when I turned the "Auto Reboot" feature off, my IPC-HFW4300C cameras stopped loosing video. Every so often, one of these cameras would report "Resources Limited. Open Video Failed". I tried lowering the...

Auto Maintain - Do I really need this?

There is an item within the Dahua setup menu labelled "Auto Maintain". When selected, there appears a single tab with two check boxes. One check box is labeled "Auto Reboot", and the other check box is labeled "Auto Delete Old Files". When the "Auto Reboot" box is checked, a submenu pops up...

    Dahua User Doesnt Exist

First of all, I am no IT expert. But, I don't think you have to change the TCP or the RSTP ports from their default values. You do, however, need to provide unique IP address for each NVR. In your router, I believe would then need to forward both the local TCP and RSTP ports to something that...

Got my Dahua Dh-IPC-HDW4300C today but....

As far as I know, all Dahua cameras arrive with a default username, password and IP address of "admin" and "admin", and "192.168.1.108", respectively. If your camera has the 2.8mm wide angle lens, there will be some moderate "fish eye lens" effect of the video near the edges of the frame.

    Resources Limited, Open Video Fail?

I purchased the camera on Amazon from a company called SafeGuard Designs. I've tried to contact them several times regarding firmware upgrades, but they have completely ignored me. On a more positive note, I did manage to solve the problem of the video dropping out by lowering the Bit Rate to...

    Resources Limited, Open Video Fail?

I am powering the cameras with TP-Link TL-PoE150SGigabit PoE Injector adapters. I am pretty sure it is not a plugin issue because when the video is not available on my PC, or the NVR, it is also not available on my iPhone via the iDMSS app. The same goes for the browser. So, it must be a...

    Resources Limited, Open Video Fail?

I am using a Negtear ProSAFE FS105NA 5-Port Fast Ethernet Switch. What bothers me is that when I switch one of the problematic IPC-HDW4300Cs' with a spare IPC-HFW4300S, the video is solid. Do the IPC-HDW4300Cs' have that excessive of a bandwidth demand? The only difference I can ascertain is...

    Resources Limited, Open Video Fail?

After reading various blogs concerning this issue, it seems to be a bandwidth problem rather than a problem with a specific camera. However, of the three cameras I have connected to my Dahua NVR, only the IPC-HDW400Cs' are dropping out. Not the IPC-HFW4300S. Incidentally, all cameras are...

    Resources Limited, Open Video Fail?

Two of my Dahua cameras are IPC-HDW4300C. Every few days, when I try to access the cameras live stream video, one of them offers the message "Resources Limited, Open Video Fail". I can access the web interface, but cannot view the live stream other than this message. My only option at this...

    Audio form a Dahua NVr

I temporarily jumpered an 8 ohm speaker to the "MIC Out" rca output on the back of the NVR, but I didn't get any audio. I'm wondering if I need to connect an amplified speaker to it as you do on a pc. I can, however, hear the audio on my pc speakers when connected to it via the cameras GUI.

    Audio form a Dahua NVr

I have a Dahua NVR. Is it possible to hear audio (from Dahua cameras that have audio) from the NVR. Of course, the documentation is not there because this camera is not marketed for the end user market like me. I can live with that. So...looking at the back of my NVR, I see two RCA jacks...

Dahua camera freezing on motion detect?

Just curious: Did changing from getting email alerts from your NVR rather than the individual cameras correct the problem?

Dahua Motion Detect, teach me something

Sorry badmop, but you asked me what sensitivity and threshold settings I use. I now have three Dahua cameras set up (I am incrementally replacing the Logitech cameras I've had for years). Each of them have different settings. For instance, in my back yard, I have an 89% sensitivity and 20%...

Dahua Motion Detect, teach me something

Are you saying that you can create custom forms on the camera to filter the nuisance emails? I have Dahua cameras, and I don't see any settings with that functionality. Or, are you filtering the emails within your email program? Incidentally, when I connected my cameras to the Dahua NVR, I...

Port forwarding an NVR, or all of the cameras?

I just purchased Blue Iris. I purchased it to evaluate it as compared to an NVR. Currently, I have a Dahua NVR up and running. I can access all of my cameras from this NVR on the internet, and everything is working great. I only have to forward port 37777 to view my cameras, and port 554 to...

Dahua Motion Detect, teach me something

Just curious badmop. If you are set up to record 24/7, why do you need to set up an event? Is it to get email alerts? I don't have mine set up that way, so I can't answer. But concerning email alerts, I what I don't don't like is that you get three emails for every detected event. The...

Dahua Motion Detect, teach me something

I don't mean to sound pedantic or condescending because you probably know most of this. But I will bloviate anyway. As you know, the Dahua cameras offer four "Regions" within the Motion Detect -> Area -> Setup. They are colored "Red", "Yellow", "Blue", and "Green". You can select an area by...

    Dahua IPC-HFW5302 Bullet Camera Lens?

I have the IPC-HD4300F-PT up and running. I absolutely love the camera. True that it does not have a real wide field of view, but it serves my purpose in that I can focus on the specific area that I need to view at any particular time. The area is well lit during the night, so I do not need...

Dahua Motion Detect, teach me something

Hi badmop. As for the items you have questions about, I learned what I did by just playing around. I am certainly no expert, but here is what I have determined. Within a tab labeled "Motion Detect", there is a button next to "Area" called "Setup". When selected, a window pops up with your...

What kind of microphone for Dahua Camera?

I purchased a 12 CCTV Power Adapter, a DC Splitter, and a Mini CCTV Microphone from eBay. The microphone needs 12 volts power, thus the splitter, and it is one of the cheap ones that cost about $2.50 a piece. So, I connected it to my Dahua IPC-HFW5202C camera, and all I get is a very loud hum...

    Dahua IPC-HFW5302 Bullet Camera Lens?

A bit late in visiting the site, but you are exactly correct fenderman. So, I guess I have a camera that I can try to resell on eBay. I am sure that hikvision makes fabulous cameras. They seem to be the most popular camera on this blog, and I assume most of you are professional installers...

Setting Up IP Camera (WinBook T6835) & Port Fowarding.

If your router is assigned an IP address via DHCP by your internet provider, this address may change. I am not familiar with your router, but my Asus router provides a free built in DDNS server. You might want to look into that.

    Dahua IPC-HFW5302 Bullet Camera Lens?

I purchased a Dahua IPC-HFW5302 bullet camera to hang over my garage. It's working fine except that the field of view isn't as wide as I would like, even with the zoom at its lowest setting. Does anyone know whether anyone sells something like a wide angle lens for this type of camera?
