Yeah defo some screwyness somewhere, the event is exact in all respects except the message that arrives on my Pc shows the message as being sent 1 hour after the event ??? which is impossible because that time has not been reached yet lol Maybe Hikvision can see into the future and these are... -

confusing... my mail client says todays date 03/10/2016 23:04 but the sent column shows the email as sent on the 04/10/2016 00:04 a whole hour extra i examined the message and because i am using google the NVR message gets pushed out to Pacific time and somewhere along the route there and back... -

it could have been the reason nayr if as you say the client is set to poll with that amount of time but my clients are set to poll either immediate or 1 minute dependent on the client You feel the nvr`s send immediately then ?? i`m using Hik equipment dont forget not Dahua, maybe hik stuff has... -

I know alot of peeps cannot get email working on there nvr`s but mine have always been ok so dont hate me i was just wondering why there is a delay between image capture from a camera connected to a NVR to actually receiving the image via email no matter what device receives the mail there is... -

around the full perimeter, redwall is impressively configurable and can work with PTZ, it detects - cam zooms in, GUI lets you configure zones, plants, distances I dug into redwall for a big install a few months ago, didnt end up doing the job at all but from my research it looked like fun -

Aha, after all this time i think i have found it SOME cameras have on board storage ( SD card ) enable capture mode allows capture on the camera storage of still images on the camera check the bottom setting ( storage ) there you can find capture schedule and capture parameters but why this... -

appreciate you posted this a while ago Domelsnake but i have found exactly same and i still have no idea what capture mode is i have an inclining if its off you do not get images sent via email but both settings if true send the same image size and res so i am not entirely sure i am correct... -
Need some improvements suggestions
Dont rely on Solar anything working as the nights close in, in winter the Uk gets just over 7 hours daylight as apposed to 16 hrs summer and most of the winter the Sun is oscured by cloud, you defo need more IR light and a better zoom but it will have to be mains powered if you want it to work -
Fw 5.3.8 giving too many issues
After much fighting with fw 5.3.8 i have downgraded to 5.3.6 The cam is sat on my desk, if i set the camera IP and default gateway on the camera now prior to re installation to match what the NVR is expecting what issues will i get ?? will the NVR cam setting need to be set to plug play or... -
changing Hikvision HTTP port locks camera?
have a similar issue, changed http port from 80 to 8090, router configured to allow access but camera un reachable via web ui cam 2cd2342 connected to nvr as seen in sig not been back to cam on site to try sadp yet, however it is still functioning correctly, just un accessible via web ui outside... -

Brilliant thinking but alas already done, from what i have read on the forum this is a bug, but i didnt know that until after i hit ...save :( and in actual fact i wanted to add the cam to hiks dns but maybe its just me but i failed every time i tried, maybe they cant be added if they are... -

yeah i was hopping that might be the case Alastair, sadp on site no issue really, applying the same fw vers means taking it down and bringing it back to base ... again ! damn Hikvsion, why u no fixy these bugs by now -

meh, have i fallen foul of the annoying http bug was playing with the cams http port and changed it from standard 80 to 8090, it still works via the web nvr interface but remote web access to the cam suddenly vanished, didnt touch anything else just the http port setting cant understand it... -

Using a DS-2CD2342WD-i camera, in settings, why is 2688x1520 max res unavailable if capture mode is set to any of the 2 options ?? and why is max res 2688x1520 available on the camera but not in the NVR ?? each time i change the cam to max res the nvr output briefly goes into max res but then...
