  • Hi Andy,

I'm looking for a camera to replace a ceiling mounted Dahua HDW4433C-A turret that is mounted inside my home (interior room). This camera is working fine but is too large; wife is not happy. So I am looking for a different ceiling mounted camera that is less obtrusive.

I have a N43AN52 wedge camera I can install, but thought I would ask you if you had anything smaller.

It doesn't need to be a Dahua branded camera, but it should have smart IR and built-in Mic. Its motion event function must be compatible with my Dahua N2116-I NVR. Reasonable low light color performance is desirable, but no need for a starlight sensor model (want to keep costs low).

The ideal camera would be something with the performance/price similar to a IPC-T2431T-AS, but in a smaller size. The goal is to make the ceiling mounted camera less noticeable. Do you have anything in your store that you can recommend?

    Hello Andy,
I am looking to see if you have the Dahua OEM IPC-EBW81230 12MP Panoramic Network IR Fisheye Camera? I found the junction box for mounting it [EmpireTech PFA130-E White Water-Proof Junction Box Bracket] on Amazon but did not find the camera under your Amazon store.
    Thank you,

    Thanks

Hi Andy, I purchased few IPC-HDW5231R-ZE camera last year from you. I will appreciate if you could share the link for the latest firmware. I checked the forum as well but I believe that the firmware files were removed.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Andy,

Looking to pickup a Dahua PTZ. Im thinking about one of these SD49425XB-HNR models. I think the US version is 49425XBNR. I plan on putting it on my Dahua NVR5216-16P-4KS2 I got from you about 1.5yrs ago. I will use a 802.3at Power Injector since the NVR wont be able to power it. Let me know what you can get and cost to me. Thanks
    Hey Andy,

    很高兴认识你, 我非常喜歡在台灣和中國大陸生活的25年

I need TWO things for my clients:
    A. add more cameras to their 4K 8MP NVR systems
    B. a new BRAND of NVR with camera packages

    A. For two existing clients I've already installed the Lorex NVR 4K 8MP Systems. Each needs more cameras for their setups. I'm looking for ten (10) more similar OR BETTER cameras. (Which is why I created the category 'b')
(bought at Costco - here's the link to a similar system www.bit.ly/2JAgnnh). Both systems have cameras which are: 4K, 8MP, Wide-angle 111°, High Dynamic Range (HDR), Color Night Vision, Color IR infrared, IP67)

    B. For NEW CLIENTS, I've read a lot about HIKvision and DaHua ... would love to know about 8+MP NVR systems which you recommend

    Looking forward to your reply

    I'm in Maine, USA

I have a 5-year-old camera system which has a 9 IP camera. Some indoor cameras are not giving good resolution. It's a computer-based network camera system and I often see it skip the recording as well. I have 300 ft hallways and it catches motion about 130 ft and rests it does not record any moments as the camera is not able to detect motion. I m looking for a 12 or 16 channel camera system which one you recommend?

Also If I buy a few cameras Dahua IPC-HFW4830E-S or Amcrest IP8M-2597E can it be installed in the new system

I need the system asap. Any help is greatly appericated. Thank you
    Hello Andy,

I have a 25' pole in the center of my 5 acre lot with CAT 6 running up to the top. I'm looking for a recommendation to view my animals in the field (goats/chickens/sheep), and also look over to my house/barn which are on either side of the camera (rectangle lot). Looking at a Dahua 49425XBNR with a Parapet mount looks promising. Do you have any other suggestions? Budget is around $1000. This is the first investment and centerpiece of what will be complimented by other less expensive cameras.

This camera daytime can be ok for a 5acre, but nightvision only around 100m in very low light place, i think the farm is very dark in the night?
But if you have plan to add more cams into this system, can be OK!
I send you the PM for the further details.
    Hi Andy,
After reading New to LPR? Considerations Before You Begin I'm thinking I'd like to buy a Dahua HFW5241E-Z12E to capture license plates down my street.

I'm just getting into home security so I still have a lot to learn. If there is a better model you would suggest for this use case, (since that model seems to be pretty old) please let me know.
I'm the only house on the street and so I would only need 1 LPR camera, but I'll be looking to purchase at least 4 other cameras in the next month or so.
I plan to get vehicle make and model info at night from other cameras in the space.

I saw you mentioned something about black Friday, so I can wait a bit if you think that's best.

Please let me know your thoughts.

    Thank you,

    Hi Andy,

Looking for 6 turret (5442) cameras, 4 dome cameras, and 1 doorbell camera. I'm planning to connect everything to a Blue Iris setup. Do you have any recommendations on the dome cameras? And how much would the customs be to have it shipped to Canada?
    Hi Andy,

Hi Andy, I am looking to get 2 of the ColorVu DS-2CD2347G1-L(U) Turret in 2.8mm and then I also want 2 HK DarkFighter cams for low light IR night vision. I'm not sure which cameras to go with for these but from my research it seems like the DS-2CD2H45FWD-IZS or something similar would be ideal, I am open to recommendations as long as it's a HK. I also need an HK NVR. I prefer one between 8 and 16 channel, that has enough power/bandwidth to run these cameras and similar high powered cameras I would add in the future. Please let me know some recommendations and prices. Thanks!

hi Andy, new to this I have read that you are the togo guy to buy from.
I was going to place an order from you for starter just a few 5442 cameras to figure out the size of fov and a 16ch nvr,
can I get a recommendation on a nvr, tere are some things I read that I believe I am looking for
-i want to get a nice NVR with or without poe. It doesn't matter I have a 16ch poe switch.
-it is just important that it has ANPR for future license plate camera
-a reasonable high bandwidth for higher res frame rate data if needed.
-support for 12mp would be nice too. To future proof it
-Quiet would be nice, this from my understanding leads me to a non poe version but this is not critical
-reasonable newer model so I don't get older tech, if there is a never model.
    -price less than 800us

If there are multiple models you have just list them even if the price is more i might be interested.
You can pm me I can buy throug email/paypal or whatever.

    Hi Andy

I am looking for a POE outside camera to cover my driveway. I am using Blue Iris software. My budget is around $150. I heard a Dahua Starlight camera was good but I am confused as to which one? It looks like they make a 2 or 4 megapixel camera. Night vision would be important for security. Also confused between an eyeball and bullet style? I don't need audio or any other fancy features. The driveway is short and looks out onto the street. I am in the US. Thanks!

    Sorry to bug you,
This camera seemed to have the best night time color, at least to my eye, would you recommend this camera, or is there another camera that has better night time color and features you would recommend?

It has same day and nightvision as IPC-T5442T-ZE, so we don't make any review.
