I dont understand why the 10.xxx addresses are being used and 192.xxx etc ..there should only be 1 subnet ... 10. Is a class A subnet and you do not need that ..get everything back to 192.xxx and make sure your network is properly configured.
This honestly just sounds like a messed up network...
Has he just not turned off remote access on his router? Does it work inside the house when he is WiFi to his network from the phone?

I've got my camera connecting fine to my FTP share in the house - just set it up today.
Also set up email to email snapshots to SMTP outside the house as well as having the onboard SD card there.
but my question is really around exactly how the FTP works in terms of images being sent to it...
is there a problem with Nightmode then? I know on my dome i have to turn it off as well due to the proximity of street lighting and dome reflection? But you haventy got a dome so why have you turned it off? too bright?
I installed this last year and its been fine until recently ... at first i just thought its one of those things but its now done it 3 times ...
By default its running wirelessly (and has been fine) but to get it after it does this i need to plug in a wire and then restore my saved config file...
Easy to say ... much harder to do without leaving a gaping hole in the wall cladding and honestly there is nowhere else to put it as frontage below cladding is almost entirely glass AND I still have the width issue ...
I just installed a 4mm hik camera thinking it would do my entire front drive but finding it only covers about 50% of its width due to it being about 6m long and maybe 15m wide ... don't want to install a 2nd but would a 2mm lens capture more of that width , if so any idea how much?
Can you not plug in your old router , even if not attached to your isp to get them back , then work out the confit that you need to change . It would help to see old and new router ip info.
It may also help to just wire the camera direct to your pc if you can and ensure the IP address of the pc...
i put mine straight onto the PVC cladding without this kind of thing .. just used the right fittings to secure as its like a hollow wall and its fine ..stood up to 70mph wonds...
