FTP Uploads

I've got my camera connecting fine to my FTP share in the house - just set it up today.

Also set up email to email snapshots to SMTP outside the house as well as having the onboard SD card there.

but my question is really around exactly how the FTP works in terms of images being sent to it.

I see that im triggering a few snapshots this morning which are being emailed fine but nothing is appearing on the FTP Server.

The config I have is as below and doing a test it all works..

So far today zero snapshots in the FTP folder ... should it not send there as it sends email or is the 'Picture Filing Interval' basically saying it will , in this case , do a once a day daily upload to FTP ?

Im a wee bit confused as to why it tests ok but yet i see nowt

nobody know? fwiw i'm seeing nothing on my FTP server despite the caonfig being right so how does this work??

You haven't mentioned what settings you have in the 'linkage method' or Arming Schedule for events and smart events.
Do you have 'Upload to FTP/Memory Card/NAS' ticked?

You still need to configure the Event-Triggered Snapshot settings. You will find it under Storage / Schedule Settings / Capture / Capture Parameters. Then Enable Event Triggered Snapshot.
it is currently not possible to upload screenshots. Here is a older small Quick Guide from Hikvision:
