    Stymied with NVR settings

Oops... I think I found where I've been going wrong... I wasn't searching properly in the picture tab. My bad... Sorry to waste your time and thanks for the help.

    Stymied with NVR settings

Here is one of my smart event settings showing the area settings and linkage method. This records video but it doesn't generate any snapshots. So if I go to playback I can play back the recordings but if I go to Picture there's nothing there.

    Stymied with NVR settings

I recently upgraded from a Dahua hybrid NVR/DVR to a Hikvision DS-9632NI-I8 NVR. I've slowly gotten to understand most of the functionality - I'm just stuck on one thing that I think it should do but I can't get it to do. I want to capture simple snapshots of events - so, for instance, if I...

That's fine. Just ignore it then. Seems like it would be trivial for the program to restrict duplicates.

    Version 5 bugs and issues

I don't know if this has been addressed already but I noticed a bug today. V4.8.6.3 x64 If you have both a group and a camera with the same name then they conflict with each other. In my case I had a camera called Pool (short name Pool) and a second called PoolNorth (short name PoolNorth)...

    Dahua NVR How To

I've been struggling with my Dahua hybrid NVR for days now. I'm trying to do something that I used to do with my old Ganz and was very simple but for some reason I can't reason out how to do with the Dahua. I've got 5 analog cameras and 13 IP cameras hooked up. I've got motion detect enabled...

    DS-2CD3345-I firmware

Hi all, I currently have 13 Hikvision cameras in my installation. My most recent 2 are DS-2CD3345-I which I got on AliEx for a great price. I'm having a problem with one of them, though. It keeps dropping offline. I'd like to restore/upgrade the firmware but can't find a firmware file on...

    Rearranging cameras

tbh I didn't even know there was such a thing. I set up my BI 6 or 7 years ago, keep it current, but haven't changed anything in ages (other than adding cameras) It runs on a Core I7-5820K 3.30GHZ (3.6GHZ Turbo Mode) Six Core 15MB Hyperthreading LGA2011-V3 Processor with 32gb of RAM but it's...

    Rearranging cameras

You are 100.5% correct. Right clicking on the window and zooming out allowed it to be moved! My BI runs on a headless box and I access it using VNC. I must have zoomed in from a machine with a scroll wheel. Thank you, sir! mark

    Rearranging cameras

Not possible... I have a non-scrolling mouse (no wheel) at the moment - my regular mouse is broken and I'm using a POS old one till I get around to replacing it....

    Rearranging cameras

Thanks Fenderman, How did I zoom in, though? I'm not using AOI - all I've done is added the cameras and set the hot spot/motion detection areas. mark

    Rearranging cameras

Actually I did find a way to do this. If I disable the camera I can then move it. It's a decent workaround but an explanation for the behavior would be great. Mark

    Rearranging cameras

I've got 18 cameras running in my BI now. After adding the last couple I need to rearrange them. I've done so with no trouble in the past so I didn't sweat it. I can move some of them no problem. Others, though, when I put the 'hand' cursor on the video area it seems to 'pan' around the video...

    Am I missing something?

Sorry - was offline for a few days - almost went through withdrawal. Anyways - I'm still not getting this. This is what I've done. I've created a second profile in BI and clicked 'enable' - I imagine that enables scheduling it's a bit vague. I entered the GPS coordinates of my home taken...
