Dahua IP PTZ Dome and Hikvision NVR

A Novice as I am, wanted to share this with the community. I have a 7600 series Hikvision NVR (8 port poe) and was never able to add my Dahua PTZ Dome (DH- SD22A204TN-GNI). I decided there was a compatability issue between this camera and the Hikvision NVR and gave up. I upgraded to another...

Thanks, this did not help as I had viewed it, but I did luck upon a solution and Thanks for responding! I installed another Hard Drive to force the system to complain for a format and was presented with a "configuration" button. This button gave me access to all options, including setup. As...

    Nellys Security 4Knvr-16

This is a 16 port POE nvr that I just purchased and I cannot figure out how to navigate to the setup menu. Somehow I stumbled on the option to format the HDD and I did see setup screens but when I left out, i was unable to find it again. All I can get from the first screen is network state. Very...

    Cannot view main stream

What in video configuration should I look for? And should I confine looking to the NVR? Thanks

    Cannot view main stream

Regarding camera model DS-2CD2335FWD-1 (2.8mm) I have 7 cameras connected to an HIKvision nvr (ds-7600 series). I have a monitor coonected to the nvr and I can see main stream on all cameras except the above model. When I connect to the NVR via web interface, I can see main stream on it. But...

Adding Hikvision camera to Hikvision nvr

Thanks and you are correct. For some reason I add a senior moment and totally forgot that in addition to the camera I am trying to add, I had a Dahua camera on my Lan. I will disconnect this camera and try adding manually again. Thanks for your patience.

Adding Hikvision camera to Hikvision nvr

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried this but when I complete and try to add, I get an error "No more IP camera allowed'". Port #8 on my NVR is empty however.

Adding Hikvision camera to Hikvision nvr

No I cannot see one. If I access it from my browser at 192.168.0.13, I can log on to it as admin. BTW thanks for clarification that there is an 8 camera limit. I did unplug one of the cameras from the NVR and plug one of these two additional cameras into that port and I could see it ok.

Adding Hikvision camera to Hikvision nvr

I have model DS-7608NI-E2 which has poe ports and internal network. I have 7 cameras using the NVR internal network and I have 2 additional HIKvision cameras plugged into an external poe switch that is on the same network as the NVR and have set both Ip Address to the right network segment...

blue Iris with Hikvision NVR with internal network

Thanks again Federman. Guess I was streaming too much mentally! I changed the RTSP of the Dahua from 554 to 10554 and lost track that I had done that. Thanks gain for your time in responding. This has proven to be very educational and will certainly help me in the future.

blue Iris with Hikvision NVR with internal network

Thanks Fenderman. I think I understand. I am using virtual host to get around the issue of that internal network on the NVR's POE ports. So the rtsp 554 on the cameras does not matter since I am not connecting directly to each camera? I have one camera (Dahua dome) that I was unable to add...

blue Iris with Hikvision NVR with internal network

I was finally able to get BI to see my cameras. The problem was in the RTSP port that was reset to 10554 after I reset my DVR. I kept it as default and forwarded that port. I do have a question however regarding the RTSP port. When I looked at my cameras via Onvif Manager, the rtsp string is as...

blue Iris with Hikvision NVR with internal network

You are correct with port forwarding. When I access the nvr via Web, I see them as 192.168.0.33:65001, etc. I tried entering one of the addressed into the ip address of the camera in Blue Iris but still could not get the camera to show. I also remember something about an onvif string and rstp. I...
