For a camera with such a wide view, I do not think it matters as much, and the 1/2.5" version actually has a larger FOV. I am using these cameras for overall view (observation), not identification. Getting 3x the cameras for the same price seems worth more than the increase in visual fidelity...

Going through the other settings everything else looks okay. Camera image quality appears okay, resolution looks good, has selections for white/IR lights, etc. Still, I have doubts that the unit will last a year in the Texas sun or that the extra seams along the body are even watertight...

That is too bad. Amcrest has this feature in their white LED / night color units. I think it adds an extra level of security, working as a mini motion flood light. Purchased mine the same day as yours (post on slickdeals), still a no show.

Can it be set to turn on the white LED's with motion?
