AFIK, just no Windows RDP like provided with Pro but you can use another remote access program.I've come across a good deal on a dell desktop that has window 10 x64 home edition installed on it.
Are there any limitations or concerns when using this OS for Blue Iris 5?
Thank you for this feedback. It is appreciated.AFIK, just no Windows RDP like provided with Pro but you can use another remote access program.
ah yes, thank you for this tip. Tight VNC would a good option to utilize for remote access.Won 10 home is fine.
They disable a couple things usually used for commercial installations.
Or should I say they disable them so companies have to pay the extra!
Use Tight VNC or something like it for running headless, and you won't need any of the domain stuff.
ohh...that's an interesting details to keep in mind. thank you !!The other disadvantage of the home edition is that you can't disable Windows updates while in pro you can.
Yes, indeed. A fresh install is the way to go as a starting point. thank you for the tip !!For any new computer always start with a clean install of windows from the "microsoft media creation tool". This will get ride of all the crap ware on the machine.
