I have an SV3C camera, but the Wifi won't extend to where I want to put the Camera. If I set the Camera up where I have wifi then moved it and connected it where there is no wifi, would the camera still record movement? Then later I could take the SD card and read it on my computer.

welcome @Seanog

depends on the camera ( question of what the programmers did when making the software / firmware ), if this is what you are looking for, then look for what is called a "trail camera"

Howdy @Seanog ... since you have the camera already, just try testing it... should be fast and easy to test for that functionality!

I suspect it will work as you are hoping :)

Most of these cameras are not running Windows or Mac OS, so you would need to access it from the camera and a web GUI or app as the card cannot be read in a different operating system. Not sure about that camera, but I suspect that is the reason since it says the disk is not readable.

AI Overview

"SV3C security cameras primarily use the H.264 video compression format. They also utilize the ONVIF protocol for compatibility with other devices.Additionally, some SV3C cameras support RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol) for live video streaming". Now this is Ai. talking.........
Sure Macs can read H.264 files

AI isn't always right....

For example, Dahua cams record in H264 but you cannot take the SD cards out and put them in a computer and have to view them thru the web GUI of the camera itself.
