A high school girlfriend's father was stationed at the Navy's coffee plantation in Columbia. He told me that after Congress decided the government should not compete with the private sector, they sold the plantation and shuttered the roasters, quality went to hell. All I've got to say on the subject is there is no cup of freshly brewed coffee that comes even remotely close to the incredibly pleasing smell of freshly ground coffee beans.
^^^This is correct. Still, as long as it meets my three basic needs, I'm good with it.
