Weird Issue (switch, router, NVR)

hi,
i've had my dahua cameras and nvr plugged into a switch that is connected directly to my router, everything was working fine until today when i connected another camera directly to the router, now for some reason i can't access my cameras or nvr via the web browser. the nvr can still see the cameras and is recording fine. hoping for some help or ideas to get it back running like before . (p.s i've checked the ip addresses for the cameras and nvr and they haven't changed, also the new camera connected to the router works via the web browser but because of the issues, the nvr can't find it)

What do you get if you ping them?
How does the IP address of the new camera compare with the existing devices?
Can you connect the new camera with a different cable to see if it makes any difference?

i get request time out when trying to ping the cameras
the new ip camera ip address is in sequence so e.g. 192.168.50 then 51, then 52, etc
i disconnected the new camera to see if it would make a difference but it didn't, i'll try it again though.

Admittedly a long shot - if it's not a jabbering port due to a bad cable:
I'm wondering if there is any way that there is a duplicate MAC address that is causing the switch to shut down / shun a port.

Suggestion:
When the NVR and cameras are accessible, find their MAC addresses as follows:
At a command line, ping their IP addresses, then use 'arp -a' to show IP address and MAC address.
With the new camera accessible on the router, do the same, and check for unique addresses.

I replaced the faceplate and socket and it's working again, not sure how it randomly stopped but it's working now so i'm happy.

But another issue has come up, as long as the cable is connected from the switch to the router then one of my cameras stops working and I can't access it from the NVR or through the web browser (comes up as offline/network host cannot be found on the NVR) although the camera is still switched on and working it's just not accessible for some reason. The moment I disconnect the cable that goes from the switch to the router, the camera comes back online, it's really weird as the other 2 cameras work fine.
In the meantime i've just connected that camera directly to the NVR poe port to keep it working until I can figure out what's wrong.
