Hello I will probably look back at this in time and think this is a stupid question. After years fiddling around with Synology surveillance station I decided to take on new route and purchase myself a Dahua NVR5216-16P-4KS2E which arrived yesterday. Now just waiting for the hard drives, but while I wait I have plans on putting this in the loft and running 10m HDMI cable, directly below into main TV.. I realise that its only going to show me whatever screen the NVR is on at the time, but is a way to cycle through my 8 ip Cameras or view them individually from downstairs. The NVR comes with a mouse and don't really want to have to use this once setup and anyway the mouse is in the loft. Would I be able to do these things and if not how to go about it as I don't want to have to squint into my mobile app everytime as my eyesites not to good lol
Thanks everyone!
Regards

Yes, you can set it up under “system, display” as a custom split or a tour of the cameras

Go to the international website and download the manual. Lots of good info in there.

You could get a wireless mouse if you really needed to, as well.
That’s what I did. I have my NVR in another room and I put a USB extension into the same room as my TV and plugged in the wireless mouse dongle. Works great!

You may not needed for this particular application, but in case you need longer distance inside your house, consider an andriod box connected to your local lan (is wireless as well). I normally install the box behind the tv, while selecting the cameras using a wireless usb remote. Just download your particular app (idmss or gdmss)
