If they are outdoors how will the cams "see" at night if no artificial lighting ?I would like to put cameras on my very remote cabin but am afraid they will be noticed. I tried turning the brightness down and IR off but you can still see the red glow.
Loryta?I don't recall the camera numbers I put the boxes in my shed. I have one of the PTZ Layla, something like that. I bought it from Andy and a bunch of the other Dahua ripoffs from Andy.
I'm calling them Layla from now on.Loryta?

The red glow of the IR's may be a deterrent to some.
It appears to be a lot like the Amcrest ASH-41 which is OEM'd by Dahua.I'm having a weird experience with these Dahua DH-H4A, hero series.
There is no web gui so I have to turn off the IR in SmartPSS.
However, when I turn it OFF for Reg, Day and Night profiles and save it, when I go back into the setting they are all turned back on to IR manual setting. I can put the slider to "0" but I can see it's reflection in BI and it washes out the entire picture when pointed through a window.
Pretty frustrating.

Maybe the Amcrest Smart Home App will allow some setup?

Yeah, most of these "smart home" cams aren't really that smart after all.Tried it out. It's just like SmartPSS with even MORE glitches. lol
Camera still reverts to IR manual. No Workie.
Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I'm slowly coming around to the fact these can't be turned off; they are more suited to inside and not through a glass window.
Too bad!
