What IP addresses have you used for the cameras in the BI config?
I have BI set to read 8 cameras from 1st nvr at 192.168.1.51, and 8 cameras from 2nd nvr at 192.168.1.52.
Have to select Hickvision 7600 nvr from camera drop down list for each camera, and set the port # 1-8
Desktop Windows 10 with IP setting of static 192.168.1.20, IP mask 192.168.1.0
BI camera #1 192.168.1.51 port 1
BI camera #2 192.168.1.51 port 2
BI camera #3 192.168.1.51 port 3
BI camera #4 192.168.1.51 port 4
BI camera #5 192.168.1.51 port 5
BI camera #6 192.168.1.51 port 6
BI camera #7 192.168.1.51 port 7
BI camera #8 192.168.1.51 port 8
BI camera #9 192.168.1.52 port 1
BI camera #10 192.168.1.52 port 2
BI camera #11 192.168.1.52 port 3
BI camera #12 192.168.1.52 port 4
BI camera #13 192.168.1.52 port 5
BI camera #14 192.168.1.52 port 6
BI camera #15 192.168.1.52 port 7
BI camera #16 192.168.1.52 port 8
16 cameras working on BI.
By default the IP addresses of the PoE ports in a 7616N-E2/8P will be in the range 192.168.254.x
Have you customised the IP address range of the PoE ports?
I have not changed the IP of the PoE ports.
I have tryed using 192.168.254.x for the IP address of cameras 9-16. Still gives no link, and a warning that the camera IP already exists.
The .51 NVR has 2 that are diferent 192.168.254.11, 192.168.254.13
Using these on the .52 NVR still gives no link, but a warning of network abnormal. I have tryed a lan network IP Mask of 192.0.0.0, 192.168.0.0, 192.168.1.0, 192.168.254.0 all with same result.
Just add to IP 192.168.1.51 new IP channel 192.168.1.52, then you will be prompted which channels to import (select 9 to 16).
And vice versa.. add to IP 192.168.1.52 new IP channel 192.168.1.51, then you will be prompted which channels to import (select 9 to 16).
This is the first thing I tryed, I get errors. Thinking the NVR would show up as a camera with multiple video streams.
I think the NVR is only looking for cameras by default, There might be a setting that will have it look at a NVR, or maybe a custom protocol.
Unless I've misread the post, the cameras are all connected to the respective NVR PoE ports, and this was just an experiment:I added a camera to the lan 192.168.1.101, and can see it on both nvrs "camera #9" and BI.
Yes this was to test my setup. Right now there is just the 2 NVRs and a desktop hooked up to a 5 port switch. The 17th camera was to check that the NVRs could see cameras on the lan port, the camera was set to 192.168.1.101. I was able to see that camera on both NVRs and BI at the same time.
I think it will be much easier if you don't play with the internal PoE network at all.
I am going to have both NVR record 24/7, why waste BI with this recording. The NVRs are going to be a backup for the BI desktop, should something happen. Using the PoE ports simplify installation, reduces equipement, simplifyes wiring, oh and reduces cost.
Sure this is clear as mudd
Thanks For the Help, It is much appreciated
